Re: Modular jam

Cool. Do you have a photo of your system for these? Not really interested in detailed descriptions of the patches, just to get a general idea of what you used. Sure! Re: Morphagene mono in?

Left in isn't normaled to right. It even says on the panel that you have mono out.

Stereo effects only kicks in when morph is turned CW as said above

Re: Maths double triggering when using buff mult

I had the exact same issue when using a gate from the Shared System CV bus sent into Maths. It started triggering randomly at twice the expected speed (so at gate high and low). I didn't know what caused this but it turned into a happy accident where I used this to create random bursts in a track: h...

Re: Make Noise Rene - 4 step sequence

Don't forget latching on René.

It's even easier to make 4 steps sequences on the fly. Or 3 steps, or 5, or whatever you want. It allows you the play René almost like an instrument

Re: Make Noise Tempi - clock divider / multiplier?

I have the same issue. m-pasting states doesn't store the states in Tempi, The save of one state is bizarre. Did you ever hear back from MN ? No they haven't replied yet. I just stopped using M-paste and do simple meshing instead. Yeah the saving of only one state surprised me. You can see in the v...

Modular jam

Here is a little track/jam I made with a nice patch I did this weekend.

Everything in the modular, no other gear besides the audio interface for recording.

enjoy

Re: Looking to create the Time Functionality of MN 0 CTRL

End of Gate output of Maths is your key. Maths in cycle mode, EoG output clocking your sequencer. Mult this clock to another CV sequencer that you will use to determine step length. CV out sent to the "Both" input of your cycling Maths channel. Fine tune cycle durations to taste e: basically the sam...

Re: Fixed Filter Banks - Long-term use, same-y results?

I very recently bought a Verbos Bark Filter and the first thing I did with it was to plug it to the output of the Morphagene to sculpt the sample loops into different results, to sound well with the rest of my track frequency-wise. Based on that first exploration I can say you shouldn't be afraid ab...

Erica Synths bassline (not the DIY one) has one that is a BBD-based emulation and gives a nice character.

Re: Make Noise Tempi - clock divider / multiplier?

I don't know if I should post this here or on the René 2 thread: here is my issue. Tempi is set to follow René 2 through the select bus. I read somewhere that you still have to save Tempi's states if you want them saved, even if saving the states of René. This is what I'm doing and it works. But my...

attenuators on all of Batumi’s outputs.
Update to the expert firmware for Batumi and you'll have this plus many more things like a chaotic waveform or summed LFOs.

Re: Changing knobs on certain modules?

There are no standards in modules so you have to search what kind of shafts your modules are using and find corresponding knobs. Thonk is indeed a great source for different knobs. My only advice is to be super careful when removing a knob if it's not coming off easily. You can easily destroy a pote...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

You would modulate level on Pam's. Just add a VCA controlling the output strength of any gate to get this effect. true, but I'm out of VCAs :) Is that a joke?!? Maybe you have an OR function available somewhere? (Maths?) It should work the same way, "strength sequence OR gate" should give you your ...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

How much more do you get here vs. a Rene II? I realize the Rene is $200 US more, but seems pretty powerful. I only have a Rene(I) and have not looked at much of what Rene II is capable of due to shrinking pocket syndrome and just plain disappointment at the huge influx of new gear within a year of ...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

It seems obvious to me that it’s an updated Pressure Points with integrated Brains. I genuinely don’t understand why people would think it’s anything else. Pressure Points/Brains takes up a lot of hp for relatively little functionality when compared to the average module that comes out today (for o...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

0-Coast was a kind of simple take of some of MN most famous modules, part Maths, part Wogglebug, part DPO, part Optomix, but with its own twist... Like other suggest, I'm thinking about a new take of their other modules in stand alone semi-modular version... From what we've seen yet, part Pressure ...

Re: Something new from Make Noise coming?

Definitely a stand alone unit. You can see the exact same casing as the 0-coast. There's an almost similar "halo" logo to the one from the Mimeophon, so this unit has FX. Obviously the unit also has touch control. I'm leaning towards either another stand alone instrument like the 0-coast but with a ...
