only a silly question because you asked for the "easy" way. it's totally doable but it takes a lot of time.

Thanks for the tips and resources!
It may be a stupid question, but I'm also looking at this as a learning opportunity. I'd like to understand the circuit and experiment with it.
Not a stupid question at all, reverse engineering is a great way of learning imo :)

Nm I see the box. Very surprised they can do that so cheap in the EU. But you saved on shipping that way too. Now to figure out how to finish it eh? It is as if you have these machines connected directly to your pc, bizar. Upload step, click, boom there it is at your doorstep brought by their own s...

Re: New project from Psyco X [XDS3]

The set up costs for placing several parts isnt worth it. I've actually used Elecrow and after seeing the garbage they sent me, I wouldnt recommend them for anything regardless of what you heard on another forum. Have you tried JLCPCBs assembly service? Saw some.ohotoa on eevblog that didn't look t...

I would like to stress once again that it is not enough to assemble the PCBs. Then you don't have a Jp8 yet. I can't support you on the subject of housings. In addition, many cables have to be crimped, which is the worst :-( I agree with you there. I despise crimping! Depending on the pitch of the ...

Designing and manufacturing a case, where do I start?

Title says it all! Where do i start? I need a case for a diy clone project I am working on. I'm thinking of a fairly straight forward design where the top side of the case is "folded" over the bottom side (I think it's called U shape?), in my mind this approach would be one of the cheaper approaches...

Hey Fuzzbass: is this kind of what you meant by thermal coupling the tempco to the npn-pnp pair? Put it in the middle, squirt some thermal paste on it and then get some heatshrink over the whole deal? To be honest, for me, the only important thing is to have a schematic available. (I just dont understand why people will sell a pcb/kit without making the schematic available!) The same for me. I am buying PCB+panel sets usually. Having schematic I am able to find parts myself, choose replacements ...

Re: "DOs and DONTs" for creators of DIY kits or PC

What are some DOs and DONTs that creators of DIY PCBs or kits should follow to help users have a successful experience? Here are a few off the top of my head, randomly: - Label PCBs with the component values (e.g. 100k not just R23) this is not Always possible without either making everything utter...
