Re: What's the 'best' way to get bipolar power from a wall-wart?
Has anyone explored using the LT3581? https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/3581fb.pdf Page 19 of the datasheet has an interesting configuration using two of the ICs in a master/slave configuration to provide +-12v. see first post on this page I don't understand - I se...

Re: VERBOS ELECTRONICS
It's a Buchla 259 style triangle core made with an opamp and a comparator (TL082 and LM311). I can send you some (badly laid out) schematics of the CO core if you're interested. Does the same apply to thee Furthrrrr Generator or is it completely different design? At least it's also based on the 259

Re: Schippmann to end Eurorack production
To all you Omega-Phi users:
did anyone ever understand the VALUE knob (+4V .. -4V) and its corresponding jack?
The manual says "determines the setting-voltage (±4 V) of the triangle, when a Sync trigger at jack 27 occurs"
But I'm still clueless how to use it.
Can anyone here describe any use for it?

Re: What's the 'best' way to get bipolar power from a wall-wart?
I have 5x little boards available which will turn any dual voltage (AC and DC) into ± 12VDC
Input range: AC 12-16V or DC15-24V
If any of you want to buy such a board, drop be a PN. It's 5$ per piece

I'm using some cheap boards from china and they do the job: https://www.ebay.de/itm/AC-DC-to-5V-15V-Dual-Voltage-Converter-Board-Mini-Rectifier-Power-Supply-Module/272811435227?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=571953810466&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 however those TO220 regulators resp. the heatsi...

not wanting to be argumentative but i disagree with this vehemently .. there are no kings of the eurorack world. Yes there is, it's called Schippmann and Cwejman i do believe there is a little snobbery involved with some module lines. a bit like ferrari snobbery or something replace the word "snobb...

It doesn't get any better in terms of quality and accuracy if not the most experimental/outta-the-box vendors

Can someone explain me why the Verbos FO is ludicrously overpriced at 470€ at Thomann for a single freaking oscillator?
One can buy several other oscis or even different brands complex oscis for that price.

Re: Fake TL074 chips in circulation
All ICs will be going scarce for at least the next year. Current semiconductor demand far exceeds supply, as the automotive industry is discovering and having to cut back vehicle production significantly. Most fabs are already at or near capacity, and more importantly blank wafer production is maxe...

Re: EMS like behavior in Euro
What you're missing is a Synthi is much more than the sum of its parts and attempting to "emulate the exotic textures/ sounds and controls" or even only get anything close to its sound, behaviour and interface with any assembly of eurorack modules is a pointless waste of time, money and energy. Man...
