Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
After checking everything possible, I think I solved my issue with PITCH opening all voices 5- to 8 I din't put plastic washers under the small "pad" screws because "hey, the panel is made of PCB material, it's not conductive". Well, I don't know what happened, maybe the DIN Screws scratched the sil...

Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
1st, check your board to board connections at TRNS2. 2nd, check the soldering on the #2 NXP 4093, and make sure it's not backwards or has any bridged connections. 3rd, near that NXP chip there is a 547 transistor, check the connections and the orientation of that transistor. 4th, as the voices are ...

Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
I have finished building mine. I have an issue on the PITCH knob for voices 5-6-7-8 (first four voices are OK) If I turn the PITCH knob up at about '9 o clock it starts "holding" voices 5-6-7-8, and they all play together (the HOLD knob is at zero). Opening the PITCH knob more changes the pitch of t...

Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
OK, thanks a lot. Yes, I have the two small rectangular PCBs for "Shields", I just was not sure why they called them UP and DWN when they are actually one on th eleft and one on the right. Thanks for clarifying ;-)

Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
I am a bit puzzled by the build guide, regarding the "Shields" it says: Install the shields on the bottom side of the main PCB after soldering of all other parts. Places for installation - see PCBs/Place for shields.jpg Use UP holes for upper PCB part and DWN holes for lower one. what do they mean b...

Re: DIY Mutable Unsuccessful Builds
I need to try reflashing the firmware on a MiniClouds for a friend's friend. It was supposed to be working then somebody installed or tried to install Parasite. Then tried to remove it. Currenlty, the module lights up and all leds are on, so at least we know it's not dead. However, when trying to up...

Re: Soma - LYRA-8 DIY Kit
I started building mine, already soldered some passives, but I am getting mad sourcing all potentiometers. (Someon uses the ones with solder lugs, someone with "circles" terminals)
Does anyone have a good source link (mouser or whatever) for the correct pots? Thanks

Re: Phoenix / Shruthi wasp filter build DISPLAY issue
the 2x3 pin header is needed if you want/need to reflash the Atmega CPU. You can omit that since your unit is pre-programmed.

Look at the pic for the trimmer to adjust LCD contrast ;-)
And/or have a look at the bottom of this page, TROUBLESHOOTING section: https://mutable-instruments.net/archive ... d/digital/

Re: OPERA ROTAS, a DIY mutant drum machine BUILD THREAD
I have tested the new firmware on the "extra" Bluepill I had, so far it seems OK.
Installation is quite easy (once you understand what needs to be done
), when the FW is released as .hex file I can write a simple guide on how to do it if you need it

Re: Trying to find the pot for an Erica Synths MIDI-to-CV II module
In case anyone needs it, I wrote a mini-guide on how to program the ATmega for the MIDI-CV Module on my webiste.
I have used a standard Arduino Uno and swapped its ATmega with mine.

I just finished building mine...everything seems to work, excet I have a very low volume if I set the wave to Sawtooth. Square and Triangle waves both have a good volume. Any idea for this low volume on Sawtooth? I think it's maybe some misplaced resistor...but where??? ;-)
