They mention in the manual something to the tune of "it's wider than it has to be, we put lots of space between the knobs on purpose", which is nice to see.Muff McMuff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 10:17 pm28 pots, 9 switches, 6 buttons, 1 screen, 41 jack sockets. The size is a positive, a "micro" version would not be an improvement for me.

Re: ADDAC112 VC Looper & Granular Sampling
Lots of teaser videos in the other thread - https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=243294 Ah, thanks for the link! Sometimes this palace place confuses me with multiple threads. Those all sound great, especially the first and third. Already the comparison with morphagene is outdated...

Re: ADDAC112 VC Looper & Granular Sampling
The manual's up on ADDACs website! Pretty lame comparison to make i know but it seems like a more granular
morphagene... as in more parameters but otherwise a similar paradigm. Stereo spread control, 1V/O inputs, independent loop/grain pitch.... thats very interesting. And the "deviation" knobs...!

Again, main point of my statement was; this compulsively focussing on what a machine can't do, instead of working around or WITH it, seems to me to be pure avoidance of just making... Sound. Now in comparison, listen to the music from the 90s(I could say 70s too but 90s is closer to what we are doi...

Re: Something new from Make Noise?
I might be talking out of my ass here but when the instagram demo above "wettens" a few seconds in, makes me think of some kind of physical modelling...? No? Someone said something about some virtual tape deck/morphagene extravaganza/whatnot. I'd like that, but seems not to be the case. Eitherway i'...

hey hey. i didn't look very close at either of them, but what's actually the difference between the wavestate and this modwave? as in, what warrants two wavetable synths within a few (one?) years... wiki says wavestate is a wavestation tribute, but couldnt that just be a subset of the modwaves capab...

I don’t understand why so many people are saying stem export being borked doesn’t bother them....like what are they doing? Not actually making songs? I guess that maybe the case? I don’t know. Your workflow isn't universal... I didn't do stem export when using LGPT and i probably wouldn't on the po...

Nice to hear some reassuring things about the noise. Stem export would be nice but not something i'll lose sleep over. This will do fine :) (and as with someone else in the thread using a c64, my dayliest driver is an old gameboy which i can tell you sounds like absolute hell, especially with LSDj's...

Re: Polyend Tracker
So the only way of "exporting" a song seems to be to record it live from the headphone out (or line out or what have you - i don't own a unit (yet)) - and then with some noise issues? I read a lot of stem export being borked and i have understood this as affecting whole song export as well?

Not my creation, but check out "the is of being" by gemini eye, one of my all time faves. (Would love if someone knew of something similar!) I'm super sad their newest offering was more hi-fi. https://geminieye.bandcamp.com/album/the-is-of-being Very fun production on this one, IMHO. Especially the ...

To jump on the disting discussion, there's been several occasions where i couldnt find the disting booklet and just said "fuck it", twiddling the knobs until it sounded somewhat fun. No idea what was happening to my sound but whaddahell. (On the other hand, sometimes reading and re-reading the bookl...

i'm debating not posting this at all since it's such a shoddy job and quite old at that (yet newly released), but maybe someone will find it "fun" or whatever... not really the right forum for this i reckon. but nevertheless here it is. i usually make chipmusic under this alias ("musho") and these s...

sorry if this question is a bit lazy but i cant seem to figure it out on my own - is there a way to do fasttracker/lsdj style legatos/glides? like either "glide to this note with this speed" or "glide up/down with this speed on this step". the only way i managed to figure out seems to be global on t...

Got the flasher in the mail and so i tried to flash both chips during lunch... you'll need some "tool" (screwdriver) to get them loose, at least i did, they're placed between the pot fundaments and so my largeish hands couldnt get them out... eitherway, i mightve fucked something up... LFO works, th...

I've had issues before when a reseller (not in synths, mind) didn't find what i'd ordered (in their warehouse!) and didn't wanna refund... it worked then to just /threaten/ with a paypal dispute. Like, "i'll open a ticket in a week if nothing happens". Suddenly they found it :) Doesn't help if they ...

Maybe it's too early for this question, but i'm curious as to what happens to the signal when the dial is set halfway between serial and parallel processing...? 75% input to A, 25% to B ... 50% of A into B as well ... output mix of 75% A + 25% B ? It’s likely the input signal is sent through all st...

Nice to see it was "easy" (and thanks for the mouth watering sound demo). Didn't order new chips, i'll see if the local chip joint have them over the counter, otherwise ill just reflash the original chips. I was lucky with the used kastle i got, since the chips indeed were not soldered. Got the spar...

A friend linked me this thread https://llllllll.co/t/new-kastle-firmware/37800/ (and it's also been posted in here as well). They talk a little about reprogramming 1.5's, it seems that also those with soldered chips are reprogrammable with the right equipment. I bought yesterday a used kastle 1.5 fo...

I figure this as well - i think i have such a cable from the power brick. I don't have a reason to test this theory right now though (no phantom powered microphones)tim gueguen wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 12:36 am+48 V is for phantom power of condenser microphones. Some findings since last time: The C subroup out outputs does indeed output a mix of all "C" channels, but it-s PRE fader --> weird to use as send/return I can't get the A/B/C jacks on the B1 channel to make sounds. Maybe they're not inputs? But i think they are If i send a signal to the RETURN jack...

Help understanding connections (BC-9 mixer)
Eh, so i recently got a mixer called BC9 or BC-9 Broadcast made by a danish company called KS technic or similar. It's fairly old - when i goodled around for a manual i found someone wanting one for a museum or something. Well, i didn't find a manual! So i set about just using it the "common sense" ...
