Moving from the US: Power Considerations

Hey guys, I am about to move from the US to Saudi Arabia/Bahrain. I dont know where to start when thinking about what I am going to do about all of my gear. Should most of this stuff work with a wall adaptor, or will a lot of this stuff get friend if I plug into a wall that is 220 and not 110. Im ta...

Re: Recommend a rack mount synth

Preliminary Review: Im still waiting on the little wireless usb thing to come in the mail, so that i can control it with my ipad. I havent yet started going under the hood to shape the sound's parameters. Ive just been scrolling through presets for the most part, and getting familiar with the basics...

Re: Recommend a rack mount synth

Thanks guys. I went with the Integra. I liked the way I could wirelessly hook it up to my Ipad and change the sounds.

Help Troubleshooting Midi Problems with DAW

I have midi information being sent to my Mellotron 4000D rackmount synth from my DAW running Cubase. The mellotron is glitching out. It is latching onto notes and not releasing and other little weird glitchy things. Sending midi data in the same way works completely fine with all my other synths. Em...

a-101-2 LPG is my most used filter. 1. Running a fast lfo into the cv sounds so nice with the vactrol 2. I like the idea of bypassing a vca by putting it into lpg mode 3. I couldnt say if the saturation is better or the same compared to the other filters, but I really like the saturation this has wh...

Mixing Hard to say, depends how you like to do things. I use 3 intellijel mutagens to mix down 18 inputs to 8 outputs, but thats just how I like to do it. Great solution. I looked at the Mutagen awhile ago ...compact and neat but discontinued and hard to find. Where do you take your 8 outputs? An e...

I was wondering were all the 'comment on my rack' posts were, hah My 2 cents: Oscillators: -Elements is good for your intention -No comment on the Piston Honda, other than I always liked Harvestman stuff, for when I was going for something more industrial than pretty. -I really wanted to like the DP...

I did hear a while ago, about production ramping up, or being outsourced to produce more modules to meet demand. Perhaps that was a rumor or the typical speculation. It was ramped up, they also put out 250 x S1 Mk2's, over last 3 years they've done runs of about 18 different modules runs are usuall...

1.) 3000 modules isnt a lot, imo. Thats like saying each state is selling about 60.
2.) A modular system is a tailored instrument made up of dozens or hundred of modules. It would make since to me if I saw some figure that said the average user is actively switching out at least 3 or 4 modules.

Ive had the sequencer and converter for a couple weeks now, and I think both units are great, but I do have 1 issue. My only qualm is that the sequencer doesnt seem to handle being controlled by an external keyboard very well, i feel like it is probably a software issue. If I delete steps of a seque...

modcan distributer?

Seems like more than half of analoguehaven's modules for modcan are out of stock, and i am not seeing any other distributor carrying his stuff. Is modcan just doing order from their website now, or just backed up?

A-170 Slew Limiter effects module's scaling

I am just now noticing that my oscillators are tracking less accurately when the cv for the pitch is passing through my a-170 slew limiter. I tried with a couple different oscillators and cv sources, but i am getting the same result. Basically, it is drifting an extra 20cents when i scale up or down...

there is no MIDI modules in the case. I also tried configuring the jumpers like it says to do in manual but it had no effect.

I would lean towards Pressure's solution, except for the fact that the exact same thing happened with my previous a-111.

I doubt it's a power issue. it acts the same in all four of my cases.

they are all monorocket cases. all my other modules seem to work fine in them.

Whats wrong with my OSC (extreme drift)

A while back a had a Doepfer a-111-1. When I had this module it would drift ridiculously. With no cv being applied it would drift across multiple keys when it shouldve been just standing still. I eventually got rid of it, not being able to figure out the problem. Recently, I just recieved a brand ne...
