Re: How to test if my 4006 is working

if you do something basic with leds connected to the outputs and send it a clock and a data (also a clock) for example a cd40106 oscillator.
you will see if something happens

Re: What do I do with 500 jacks with a pcb footprint I never use?

pictures or it didn't happen!

by horizontal mount you mean jacks like the PJ302M ?
if so, design a circuit that uses them, then sell kits. That's what I would do.
Speaking of, I have to design a synth with 16mm pots. I have tons of those!

or give them to me, I'll do the design :)

Re: Where to start with modular video synthesis?

Thonk has some stock. But it seems that most shops don't. this sucks, but as these projects are open source, you could produce the pcb's yourself. The Cadet modules are pretty easy to lay out yourself. (*with some exceptions) Vital modules to start: Sync Generator and RGB Encoder (*better to buy the...

I am happy that I took the route of DIY analog video synths. you can look here for open source hardware stuff I just added: https://scanlines.xyz/t/video-diy-schematics/189 most vendors have LZX Cadet and Castle pcb's in stock, as well a...

Re: Original Kraftzwerg wall wart?

I had a model 1 . I only have the PSU board here, as I sold the main panel as an Eurorack module. The adapter I normally use for it (as a test PSU) is 15v AC-AC (1000mA, 500mA also works). I tried 12v AC-AC, that works too. The PSU actually powers a small internal busboard , with 8 possible connecto...
