how do you guys get headphones out from a Serge panel? is it that mod on the XFADE? I plug in to one of the UAP outputs. There's an adapter that splits the signal to stereo so you can hear it in both headphones. Rex has the part # for that. Thanks for the answer , I have the R*S Stereo mixer, I don...

Interesting info about 4-panel cases. That would be a dream. Thanks for sharing.

I notice some concerns about carrying an M-case on to flights. I have carried mine on several dozen US and European flights and never had a single issue.

Anyone in Southern California up for converting a Zero case for me? I think I found the right size for 4 x 4U panels. I don't have the tools or skills for this kind of work. I've been asking everyone I know and nobody can recommend a builder who's good with cases...

I found an old Zero Halliburton case that I believe is the right size to house four 4U panels. I don't have tools or skills to do a good mounting job. Anyone in southern California good with cases?

Thanks for clearing that up & all the help! I'll post when I have some success with MCP4822 Hi, found this thread searching the forum, I'm having a similar goal (need 4 or more CV channels, and a small screen, know nothing about I2C or SPI yet). Did you manage to do what you wanted? Couldn't find y...

Re: R*S DUSG Clock Outputs: Pulse Vs. End

2) Is there a shortcut to 50% duty cycle clocks with DUSG? I can figure it out by ear, but it becomes complicated with rise/fall modulation especially if those are both feeding back at different amounts or modulated by different sources. This is a quote from the build doc for the new RandomSource D...

Did anyone succeed at accomplishing the original task? (From a sine LFO, generate a clock at exactly 2x speed using Serge Wave Multiplier) I spent a few minutes and failed to make it work with either Wave Mult 2 or 3. The Wave Mult 3 trick that was mentioned is interesting, but it seems like more of...

You'd have to use the DC-coupled input on Wave Mult 2 to work with an LFO, I imagine? And yes, you'll need a comparator. If you have a DC-coupled ring modulator, you could feed the slow sine into both inputs. That will yield a sine wave at twice the frequency. Then you hit the comparator to turn it ...

A big part of the Stearns sound was those little Casios being processed and used for event generation. On one of his first album covers you can see a silver Casio incorporated into the Serge. When I visited Serge's shop in 1980 as a teen he had a few of them around and so did one of his assistants ...

OK, embarrassing realization:

I forgot to switch from 230V back to 110V before making the measurements. They're now reading close to expected values.

I guess the fact that they're non-adjustable explains why STS wants you to send in the power supply along with the panel for repairs and tuning.
