Re: YATMA - Yet Another Transistor MAtcher ( for lazybones )

Absolutely unsolicited bit of trivia:

Heh. I had a laugh because in my language, "yatma" means "daughter-in-law." My uncle frequently calls my wife "yatma," and most of the time I think he does that because he can't remember her name!

Sorry for the interruption. Back to transistor matching...

It's not four VCAs. It's 16 VCAs.
Hey man, anything worth doing is worth overdoing, especially in the name of fun!

Re: Quad+ VCA, but fun?

The 4MS VCA Mixer eats a lot of hp, but offers as much fun as you could possibly have with four VCAs. Matrix mixing, CV control and muting! It is really addictive once you start exploring all the ways it can be used to dynamically route your system. https://www.modulargrid.net/img/imagecache/600x588...

The current state of blackness: Beautiful, beautiful work. I love the attention to detail, especially the bananuts. I am working on something similar, except my bananut scheme will be a bit more subdued, as I think it starts to look really busy when powered on. But that is just me. It's clear that ...

They have these for sale at juno.co.uk FYI - and they are pretty reasonable - will give a discount if you ask nicely.

I just bought one today.

Re: Selling your own modules

I love being able to buy stuff from boutique operations, especially new ones. That being said, they have to offer something new, whether it is new functionality or just a new and better UI for something common. It definitely seems like you have to have a passion for the work and be prepared for a ro...

Re: Robaux 3PT

For me, I think I would be really into this module if the UI was built around a long throw fader instead of a knob. I bet you could design a fader version in the same hp (or very close). It would just have a slightly different layout. Of course, this is totally just personal preference, but I really...

People are going to be stoked for any black panel options for Intellijel stuff.

As with most things, don't take our word for it, trust your own ears . There are a number of good YouTube cartridge comparisons where you can hear the differences between cartridges for yourself. And yes, even though people will rightly point out that the YouTube sound processing is less than ideal,...

You can always get a Ladik S-090 Probability Skipper for cheap. Actually, I don't think they are shipping to NA right now, but usually.

It doesn't have the mute buttons, and is two channels instead of four, but otherwise, the functionality is the same, I think.

I have had that some concern with many of the Erica Fusion series. Lots of cool stuff to tweak, but very little CV control over anything but the most basic functions. There is an alternative, although more expensive -- the Epicycloid Turbo Entubulator . That tube VCA gives you way more CV control ov...

Re: Announcing F8R, Eurorack 8 channel fader bank (Now shipping)

I love the LEDs, as I do all blinky lights. That being said, I would love it if there was a version of F8R where the slider LEDs indicated voltage -- one color getting brighter for 0 to +5v or 0 to +10v, and then for bipolar action, would use one color getting brighter for 0 to +5v and another for 0...

Re: Balanced transformer outputs: I have Q's and would like your A's

For analogue outs, I absolutely believe in proper balanced, galvanically isolated XLR outs with big fat transformers. Both the Vermona TAI-4 and the ADDAC800X provide what essentially are high-end DI boxes in the eurorack format. In some situations you may not notice the difference in the noise floo...
