Re: Drop in replacement for PSU3

Buy another supply and wire it to the bus board that is using the most power (dis-connect it from the other supply of course). The AC input blades are duplicated so you can chain the power connections from the power inlet switch modules to multiple supplies. I have done this with a Doepfer P6 case ...

Re: What a used Natural Gate in VG condition looks like

What a shame ... a $400 module that looks like ass after less than a few years of service. I would think that if the manufacturer is even the slightest bit concerned about what their legacy will look like after just a few years they'd not even consider the use of fiberglass as a material for the co...

Re: Sampler help

Wigglers, I'd like to find a eurorack sampler with these features: •hi fidelity - I have a Bastl Grandpa which is fun but lofi •recognizes MIDI keyboard info for pitch and velocity •can load samples via micro SD card - don't need to record samples via the module •polyphonic voice output, even duoph...

Re: New Module: Rabid Elephant NATURAL GATE

Hey folks! This week I'll have all pre-orders and probably a bunch of the direct sales shipped out. Over half of the pre-order customers are already shipped. DHL is scheduled for a pickup today for some of the foreign pre-order shipments. We've opened up pre-orders for NG so if you want to reserve ...

Re: Modules that "Fascinate"?

Several recent fascinations: I'm just dipping my toes into the Serge Resonant EQ. Picked up a CGS model last week and then found myself too busy to explore it. I want to play everything through it: violin, voice, field recordings, gongs. Sound sculpting is a big reason in into modular. Monome Telet...

I ordered a Dual Borg from them on the 16th of July. According to the USPS website a Pre-shipment label was created on the 17th. When I noticed that USPS was still waiting for the package on the 21st of July I tried contacting Modular 8. I left two messages on the phone and many emails. I never rec...

Dows anyone here have the Dr. Wiener's version? Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the Tropical Military one from him. No idea when it'll get here as I'm in the US, but if you have any requests for things you want to hear it do I'd be happy to record some clips when it arrives. I'm pumped. Just loo...

Re: Seeking physical interaction modules

What about MIDI drum pads, or something of that sort? I'm not the most violent player so I'm unsure of how big a scale you're looking for... First thought was along the same lines as your original plan: glue contact mics to boards, cover them in something somewhat soft (or not, depending on your pai...

Re: Hertz Donut MKII (pic) and samples

Wanted to share an experience here, just in case it helps anybody else. The HDII was my second module ever, and I loved it. When the MKIII came out I sold it and "upgraded", but recently decided I wanted the MKII as well for its different waveshapes and overall workflow. After installing it in my ra...

Re: Instruō - Cš-L complex oscillator [CS-L]

Anyone else had to recalibrate the pitch tracking on theirs? I never was able to get more than maybe 2 octaves of accurate pitch from it, decided last week (after a cocktail's worth of courage) to scrape off the glue that held the two pitch trimmers in place and try to calibrate it myself. Sure enou...

I buy modules with pentagrams on them now but before I did not. turns out, the modules I was interested in were %100 unique. I was only hurting myself by making a rule against it. as long as I know that what I believe did not change after I put this module in my rack, the pictures can't hurt me. ma...

I use a MSCL. Used to do it with envelopes... lots of work. MSCL is good. And you can patch a trigger into the sidechain input, too, if you want to just trigger a duck down the road.

Can someone please tell me if the smooth random is AC or DC? I want to invert it outside of Pam’s but not sure if I need to offset it too. Lost in the shuffle. Anyone? 90% sure it's AC as Pams only outputs 0v to +5V. But I may be missing something? Thanks, ronnieb. That’s what I was thinking too, b...

I think I followed the same naming but it does not accept the files because of the specs of the wav file, do you recommend any converter that will make it accept the wave ? Hi! Factory stages is about as complex as I want a module to be. I use three of them chained together quite often. Is your BeatStep set to send out the correct type of trigger? I think it has settings for both V-Trig and S-Trig. I'd try changing those settings before you start soldering... Ha thanks no intention on taking a soldering iron to it :) The V-Trig and S-Trig settings are only for the sequencer, not t...
