Re: moog ladder filter mods?

man, i missed about a year of my own posts, i shelved my model d after i got the pro one but its just like some ex lovers, they will always return. the pro one has a LPF near perfection but that is a chip so nothing to mod ;-) id like to know if somebody has implemented a complete filter mod for the...

Re: Tell me some good Dance/Club tracks from the 90s

Mark Fells new york house mix! Back when Electronic Music was a gay thing and everything was machines mixed to tape. The production usually started with a 909 drum track and then everything was either synched to that or played manually. Amazing loose and groovy timing and impossible to do on a compu...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

Korg: they can make cheap synths that have a perfect design and finish agreed and they still sound mediocre. i just bought a prophet rev2 and went through all the korg stuff that came out lately. all very innovative with the correct bells and whistles but cheapish sound. especially the prologue, th...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

As someone who plays an instrument which is always a copy of historical originals, this thread leaves me a bit cold tbh. stretta puts it like it is. there is nothing new in music machines. they are all based on a few in my eyes limiting principles. you can name your own favourites but for me the st...

Re: The ethics, morals and legitimacy of musical equipment and its manufacturers.

It was a glorified system 55 post and they did not delete it or move it here! Thanks! there you go! muffs seems chaotic but actually works very well, its based on "mentally unstable swarm intelligence". to me the other side of the behringer spectrum is EMS. these dudes probably accidentally invente...

Re: The ethics, morals and legitimacy of musical equipment and its manufacturers.

i dont see any real conflict in our arguments. all im saying is uli is a real and no bs deal and i support that. you dont seem to disagree with that. i could be wrong and the future will show. i remember a few manufacturers in the eurorack world that had the same attitude in the beginning but became...

Re: The ethics, morals and legitimacy of musical equipment and its manufacturers.

I wasn't aware of that vow Uli took, i never took such a vow and i have been using synths for almost two decades now. ah, you ARE older than i am :-) i read that somewhere in one of his first interviews that he will never simulate analog because thats fundamentally, technically and philosophically ...

Re: Behringer System 55

Nothing about Behringer is 'authentic'. They make clones. not true and im german and have seen the uli man in person. he is a professional level keyboard player and true synth enthusiast who built his first analog poly when he was a teenager. his copies are not more copies than a lot of contemporar...

Re: Behringer System 55

> Uli, sorry I meant Behringer is actively trying to steal the name of a living synth legend, Oberheim. jesus christ, you must be even older than i am. "copy and paste" is what this whole online economy is run on, its not the 80s any more. i agree with everything uli does because he is the only one ...

Running out of space with 16MB is almost unheard of, if you're not running instruments full of 44.1 multi samples. correct, but multisampling will eat that 16 mb quickly, thats why im asking. i dont even have an asr-10 right now but i have an eps-16+ with 2 mb. meanwile, i bought the sample set and...

Behringer
dude, you cant go wrong with anything behringer comes up with these days. i just bought the prophet rev 2 but the deepmind was on my mind for a long time. in the end the full size keyboard and solid low end and no menus at all won!

So I made a new sample set entirely with my Kawai K1
there you go! all you really need is a k1 ... such a simple synth, so much fun. its really can do smooth and earthshaking sounds. i was always wondering why is there no k2 before the k3?

but it needs to be played properly, put in the hands of a real fan, not a shill. behringer stuff has no equal so they can actually get away with total dweebs "demoing" their gear. my favourite is the infamous italian syth guru who excelled at one hour of clueless knob twiddling in this video. his f...

Shledge and Sounds From the Shed have both been put on a temporary (if they want) time out stern measures but good moderating indeed! these dudes seem to be caught in a space/time loop and need a time out to escape. Expert knob twiddler, he is not. apparently being an italian synth guru doesnt qual...

ONLY for once we are having amazing products that i think will sell themselves and dont need to r...
