His mods are different. He doesn't have wires coming out from the + - 9V. The LFO "mod" is just a patch so that is easy. His tuning was only an attenuator to divide the voltage CV out into CV in of second Werkstatt (not the fine tune mod). His volume mod is, again an attenuator. Just a pot in series...

I did exactly the same thing. I tried both the individual and the combo boot loader firmware files. Oh well. My first attempt is about completely jacked up from troubleshooting. I ordered a complete redo and will try again. If I have the same issues I will try your suggestions. I still feel like it ...

I just built two of the Roland system 100 LFOs. Both square outputs are considerably hotter.

The codec. I was probing ins and outs for DC voltage. Saw a little puff.

I was poking around and saw a puff of smoke. now nothing at either TL072 except +- 12v. The 4.7 resistor looks charred, but still measures 4.7 ohms. IC2 now gets very hot. Pin 12 has continuity to c33 and pin 13 to c41 all the way to input pins of ic10

So R48 and R49 are indeed 39k. I have fluxed and reflowed, cleaned and re examined. Stumped. Bad TL072?

you could check the values of the feedback resistor pairs on your output opamps The output opamp is ic10 right? So R49 and R48. I am fairly certain of all of the values. If I was to check them, I would need to remove them from the circuit, correct? I need to reexamine the build under magnification/...

I also tried to load firmware with wav file and following the procedure in the manual (hold freeze at powerup). The freeze flashes but input gain made no change to any leds there either.
