The Twin-T CMOS drum circuit have been circulating the internet for a while (BD, congas, clave, etc.). I've had good results replacing the 4011 for the 4069. Sounds great and you can use the rest of the 4069 for so much other stuff. Haven't tried the snare/cymbals circuit though.

Sold it because of the file transfer system. I have large sample banks I wanted to use on the MD, but files can only be transferred via MIDI, using an incredibly outdated method/software. Resampling the sounds is also not entirely user friendly. For my purposes, MPC is far better.

I got a full set of NOS, but will hold onto the original ones until I can test them (won't mind having spares). Checked for a difference in sound between GE's metal and Tung-Sol's glass 6sc7's, so far they are pretty damn close, but will investigate more later. I'll do my best to get a demo up to.

Update! The restoration was very successful. Works like a charm and overdrives as well as any 12AX7-based circuits. I fucking love this thing. Simple things become complex and buzzy. I don't know. You seem to be after something specific. If the KV-100 worked for you, then buy it again. No amount too high to stop the search. Otherwise, take your chance with the f-1, maybe it's similar, maybe it's different, maybe it's better. Only you will know.
