Re: Volkmire's Inferno: NEW Granular Synthesis module

Would trade my Morphagene for this one as soon as we get more details. I hope it will have a sd card system like on PH3.

Edit: according to the IG pic it seems it got one slot !!!

Re: Rossum Electro-Music Assimil8or

You can save the folder you are working in, (optionally create a new one,) and load the folder where you’d like to save the sample. Alternatively, you can sample first, save, load the new folder, and import the sample. The card is strictly a storage medium. Audio is never played directly from the c...

Dumb question - Is it possible to change the patterns of individual tracks on the Rytm (a la grid mode on Ableton Live)? Or does every pattern have 12 individual tracks?

One pattern for 12 tracks.

I especially love the devil loc on the drum buss, they are just a few knobs but thy make a huge impression. I also got my hand on trackspacer yesterday and still get my head aroun...

Re: Pictures of your techno rig for inspiration?

I tweaked my setup quite a lot since I moved into a new space with more room, and decided to take the drums our of the modular and finally go for a drum machine. I went with the Jomox Alphabase and so far I'm very happy with it. It sounds great, and the workflow is really far from the nightmare sto...

Re: How do you organise your recording session in Ableton ?

For latency have you tried using Live's External Instrument device? That is the easiest way. For slicing, you can slice in Simpler. There are many youtube how-to videos for slicing in Live. Thanks for the advice! I totally forgot those tools, spent one hour setting up every channels I had and every...

Re: How do you organise your recording session in Ableton ?

i always record too much then cut things away later, I find it a lot easier to remove a bunch of stuff than try and add things in exactly the right spot I kinda have similar workflow since I try to capture sounds from a patch I do, play it as much as I can. I will usually tweak the bass in correlat...

How do you organise your recording session in Ableton ?

So here is my process with my modular and gears in my studio: I multi track record all my elements in the mixing desk then in the sound card to multi channels in Ableton. I also use my Analog Rytm as a sound card as an aggregate device. I end up with long recordings of each elements of my futur trac...

I like Quad format, especially Quad VCA from Intellijel. Great module to mix multiple CV or audios and play with amplitude. I also own quad LFO from Modcan recently, still getting my head around it but I enjoy it so far.

Hey there! Few days ago I started vaguely to understand "table".. felt like a great victory against my poor brain.. Nonetheless, remains few very obscure places! If a good soul could help... 1- Table speed: I don't get the divisions (6th tick => "standard" sequence speed.. ok), what is 5 or 7 in rh...

Oh, by the way (please excuse the explicit thread-bump), but I'm about to order one of these RIGHT NOW. Are there any other similar noise-modules I should also be considering? This seems to do exactly what I've been looking for, but there's so much product out there, it's hard to keep up. Also, exc...

Little sonic techno loop of the LIP going in the ssf/wmd MMF and inside the ER301. Three of four short loops playing in and out.

Both LIP and MMF seems to pair nicely together. Getting mine soon to have my proper idea. Great loops here !

Re: Pictures of your techno rig for inspiration?

For drums, I would highly recommend the Analog Rytm, easy to program and transfer samples nowadays compared to few years ago when it was a big pain via syssex. As someone mentioned earlier, it is nice to layer your kick ITB depending the techno you want to produce or even for live. Another importan...

Re: Pictures of your techno rig for inspiration?

To me the Alpha has a rawer/more alive (whatever that means..) sound and the Rytm is more precise/clinical (never really gelled with its internal sounds in the same way) but that’s complete subjective. The Rytm definitely has a dark sound to it. I've never actually met an Elektron device that had a...

Re: crash cymbals

The main focus now would be how to make unrealistic crash/cymbals sound nowadays. I might try to make some with my Plonk.
But it can be a fun exercice to make it some scratch with some wavetables oscillators or with a sampler like Ass8 feeded with multiple square waveforms detuned from each other.

Recorded my Piston Honda and own voice into the Ass8. You can hear it on the Bassline sliglhty detuned (duplicated the sample, pitched down one octave). I also put my voice sample in the zone for chopping, then processed it in uClouds. Many other elements in the patch that you can find on the video ...

I love his sound as well, and his live sound (from the videos I've seen) is really solid. I have wondered how much of it is actually produced and processed live. It's difficult to tell what's going on with his gear in the live videos I've seen though. Actually I believe he mainly uses tapes with fu...

One thing confuse me a bit about Inverters, are they similar to Attenuverters like on Maths ? I guess it is not but what make them different ?
