I put my name in for the mailing list in May 2019, customer # 1179.
Are you EU or somewhere else? I know they have two lists going. I am in the U.S. with a very close number.

The XAOC Sewastopol II seems a great choice for this. I have not tried it but it's been on my radar for some time. Anyone tried it out for this?

Mine's working perfectly. It powers on with all mutes active. It's a pretty great module. The mutes sound natural and musical without the inconsistency of a vactrol. I work in a professional recording facility, typically using high-end audio and must say it sounds very high quality while still being...

Coming full circle this seems like a forehead slap moment. Just wasn't sure...anyway, here is the response from Befaco. Makes perfect sense. "The mutes is Vactrol based, that offers a clickless switching, but also they have variations on the voltage. In audio is hard to perceive but if you are using...

Thanks kay_k. I've reached out to Befaco. Kinda hoping someone else can test theirs and let me know if they're experiencing the same. Since my original post I've tested with other oscillators and all sequences run through mutes sound different then without it in the chain.

Hi there. I built two of these a couple months ago and have been using them strictly to run audio through. For this, no problems. However, just today I've tested with CV, running a sequence through it, and I'm experiences a volt drop. I've tested with both Marbles and Arpitecht into Mutes, then out ...

See the manual for a hard reset on the effects section. It seems some buffers or something can get weird and need to occasionally be reset. It worked for me on a couple occasions.

Ambisonics is used for vr because of the easiness with which you can rotate a spatial image but that this doesn't mean it doesn't work in other situations. I don't believe it's used because of ease. It is not a simple task to mix ambisonics in a meaningful way. And I totally agree, it can be used f...

Quadraphonic and Surround are much different then Ambisonic spatialization. Ambisonics are mostly meant for VR where a precise x y z field is needed to represent true to life distance and presence of sound. I believe the original poster is simply referring to surround, where yes a calibrated room he...

@Dunkanoid. Coming from the WMD PM, having the vactrol mutes and accessibility to three auxes at the same time is very appealing. And now hearing the quality is good helps to make my decision. Thanks for your info!

Hello, I'm looking for experienced users of the the hexmix + hexpander system. Do channels and/or master bus overload and saturate well? Does anyone have thoughts they'd like to share on over sound quality? Any problems or thoughts on direct out quality? Thank you!

Has anyone tried just filling it wall to wall with sliding nuts? Haha, I like that. Sliding nuts don't bother me but then again I don't change my setup much. I just use a skewer to flick the nuts along, hasn't been that frustrating thus far. Never had too much trouble myself. Always used a blank pa...

i'm a little puzzled as to the use of the db25 expander - if it records none of the the functions the mixer performs but just raw data, other than an archive backup of separate channels, what use can it be? As an owner of the DB25, I find that it is useful for post record editing. The DB25 is post ...

In my mind, especially, since there are A/B inputs and if these inputs are used creatively, ie..switching between kick A and kick B, so forth, it would be imperative this switch is active on the direct output.
