Re: What new booty did you buy?

Managed to buy a 1937 Kemble piano at auction (literally for less than the cost of a single module) Just have to wait a few weeks for it to acclimatise before getting it tuned… http://www.musicofsound.co.nz/blog/wp-content/TPuploads/2020/02/p1_IMG_9871.jpg The wood grain was what caught my eye at fi...

Re: Secrets of your "ready to cook" software templates (DAW-agnostic)

My only tip is that once you have built a template with all of the instruments, FX sends & returns, VCAs, stem routing etc that you want available, dont open that template - just use it as a resource to import from... That way your current wip session doesn't get bloated with things you dont current...

your Q is lacking the most basic info as to whether you have good relative pitch detection?
can you accurately tune a guitar?

i own 3 x rings, never had a problem tuning them
but that isn't dependent on the module

There are a million ways to use RX - for a start it allows editing spectrum as though you are in Photoshop... You can zoom in and select and audition very specific parts of the available spectrum, and copy/merge/composite/ replace etc A pretty simple but interesting technique is when doing any kind ...

shame no one makes a version of the classic dbx 120XP subharmonic synth for eurorack... The Lowender plugin does a good job of emulating it... The dbx generates a 'modelled' bass waveform an octave lower than the fundamental... and also has control over ability to fill out subharmonics On acoustic i...

Going back to the OP's question "What can a Real Analog Synth Do That a Software Synth Can't?" - in time sonically the answer could be "not a lot". except, the experience is different. Same as with analog photography versus digital photography. No matter how close digital gets to analog, the experi...
