Re: Vermona retroverb lancet vs Ekdahl moisturizer
I love the all the cv craziness and the ability to quickly swap tanks with the Moisturizer, and that filter is really something else.

Re: Favorite 80s rack mount digital reverb?
My Akg adr68k is a cold dead hands piece. It has tons of weird features like envelope followers triggering a second reverb after the first, making some weird almost granular textures. It also has 4 cv inputs that can be assigned all over the place.

Re: Do high end mixers matter?
Agreed. The list could go on for quite a while and the synergistic effect of all of those items really starts to add up the more familiar you become with it. I feel like a mixer/console is just another instrument to be played in the creative process, and most times nice instruments just make the who...

Re: Do high end mixers matter?
I feel like a lot of these posts are focusing on a single benefit of a high end console when it really comes down to the cumulative effect of all of these things (color, wonderful eq, headroom, workflow) like Michael O stated earlier.

Re: h3000 reliability
Does anyone actually have any H3000 horror stories? I feel like I've read a ton of concerns but no actual events. Not saying they're invincible by any means but it breaks my heart to think someone missed out on experiencing one because of fear of repairing it Some day. I know those pretty little ora...

Re: Knas Ekdahl Moisturizer!
I’ve used four different tanks with it and haven’t had any trouble. I currently have a massive one attached to it with some rubber wrist bands in between the springs to give it a nice short sound when I want. I can tune the pitch of the reverb depending on how close to the edges I move the band. Wha...

Re: Any love for Yamaha TG33?
If you already got one and want it to sound crunchier, try a multi-voltage adapter and feed it with less than 10V...it´s not circuit bending but easier/cheapier and you don´t mod it Awesome. I had a circuit bent one for a while and really wish I still had it. Wonderful evolving pads. Everything nee...

Re: Oberheim Xpander and modern analogue synths
Speaking of non-sucky patches, I have decided to pass along my collection of patches from 13 years of Xpander/M-12 programming: ~90/100 are mine, have held these close to my chest but now that the M-12 is leaving I'm happy to share. Names are (mostly) meaningless. Many are velocity sensitive, a few...

Re: Waldorf Quantum: the analog filters and the screen
The filters only make stereo samples mono afaik. You can switch to a digital filter mode to keep them stereo.

Re: Oberheim Xpander and modern analogue synths
I totally agree on it not quite having the constant wow factor of something like an older Obie or an old Prophet 5, but it has something Super special about it. I was prepared to be way more bummed out about the knobs and menu diving, but it's really not that bad and quite an easy instrument to prog...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon - what make it so desirable?
The sheer amount of I/O and ease of use. If you’re just sequencing a small setup then yeah it might be a bit much but if you have multiple pieces of gear from multiple eras of connectivity you will probably be using multiple sequencers together to control it all and personally that wasn’t for me. I ...

Incredible band. A lot of it is based around a fantastic metal drummer playing an electronic kit so it has this cool not always locked to a grid feel sometimes. Real genuine energy and madness.

Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE
For what it’s worth I don’t think I’ve ever had any bleed into the stereo outputs. My screen just did get noticeably dimmer, I’m assuming it’s the power supply though. Everyone on the Facebook group has trashed the one that comes with the unit, wish Jomox would return my emails though...

Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE
You can dump whole folders at a time. Push disk and then push left once and you can select the folder to load, then push right until it says flash=ent. Hit enter and then it will start at the target number and load every sample in that folder.
