the sp-404 definitely meets your criteria. consider the 404sx as well, it can hold up to 16gb of samples

if you're okay with having only one filter for every voice then it should work fine.

keep in mind that eurorack doesn't work at line levels, so you'll need to amplify the signal of your dx7 before filtering it

check out the tama techstar and simmons sds series. i wouldn't pay too much for one of those considering the vermona can be had for ~400 used, but if you're looking for something different then those should fit the bill. there's also a japanese brand called bias, but those are hard to find

i think you're looking for the term "lo-fi"

don't get an octatrack or op-1 for that...get a cheap old rackmount sampler or maybe an MPC/SP-202

USPS international prices shot up last year IIRC - ridiculous.

spent $25 to ship a single LP first class to japan the other day. Priority was $50.

rsp550 is a nice fx unit. beautiful modulation fx. but for reverb i would rather go for an srv330. also look out for srv2000, ibanez sdr1000, dynacord drp15 and behringer v-verb. midiverb2 is really cheap and really cool Good point. I forgot about the SRV. All those era Roland units have a lot to o...
