nebulophone photo sensor.

I got a bleeplabs nebulophone kit gifted to me ages ago, and finally got around to trying to build it. Only to find out that it was missing a resister (easy to source), and the photo detector sensor. Anyone have any idea of a mouser part number I could order for this ? I emailed bleeplabs but got no...

Does the infinity have any way to adjust the speed it plays back a loop ?
I'd love to record some layers slow them down, and then do overdubs on them. I've read the boomerang can do this, but haven't used one.

Yes. SSL X-Patch for one. SSL have discontinued it (I heard they didn't sell so well), but there's no client side software to care about, you just point a web browser at the IP of the x-patch, and it (iirc) uses a java app to do the rest to organize 'chains'. There's an iOS app too, though that's li...

picked up mine on ebay just under a year before the mini came out. $1600. Looks like they're going for ~$1200 these days on ebay. I remember when I bought it that it felt like a steal (I was lucky and jumped on a 'buy it now' as soon as it was listed), at the time sometimes they were going for as mu...

I have to wonder what happened to make the firmware corrupt itself.
It may be that reloading has made the problem go away, but these kind of voodoo fixes always make me nervous it'll come back.

If your flash on the module isn't retaining the firmware, maybe it needs replacing.

Boston,MA area synth tech recommendations?

I've got a bunch of vintage Korg stuff that could really use some going over by someone with more of a clue about which end of a soldering iron to hold than I do. (Mostly minor problems like low volume output, scratchy jacks etc) Anyone know anyone in the Boston,MA area that does good work ? (DIY se...

The standard 1U Tiles will be between $10-$30. Blank 1U tiles for DIY or filling gaps will be $1ea This is awesome. I'm thinking it might be useful to have a full 19" of these. z-rails, and some 1U brackets from somewhere are all I'd need. I'd much rather use up 1U for things like format-jumblers t...

Haven't heard JK Flesh yet, heard good things though. Thanks for the reminder! Hopefully JK Flesh will get me back in the fold on him. h...

He answered my dumb questions about the chaos computer, and then spent 20 minutes showing me everything else in his rack. As I left, ...

Just the one failed upgrade for me. 281e (rev 5). Makes no attempt to read code loader loader, code loader, or firmware. 292e doesn't light up when powering on with remote enable held on the 281e. Everything else upgraded almost without incident. (I took everything out except for the 225e & 292e), a...

The 6 sockets go to daughterboards which can provide 8 ins/outs each.
