Re: More bits of wood

I like to try and post some background surrounding these parts, so here is a bit more information - The yard where I acquired most of my timber gave me a bit of spalted beech the other day to see what I could do with it. Spalting is coloration and pattern caused by fungus.  It seems a bit of a black...

Re: More bits of wood

]Just posted this one to another thread, so may as well update this one - The job was a load of custom print for LA67 modules, onto white material, which id not done previously. The whole job was packaged up in a couple of black 6u with the same style of ends as posted above. a.jpg b.jpg c.jpg d.jpg

Re: 18U Case

A number of the parts that have been recommended above are available here, in the uk. If you want pre-built, here in the uk, then Daniel (Dunnington Audio) sells the 258 and 281. A revised variant of the 277r that Jim Fowler has suggested to you is available from me as the 277blm (pcb and pre-progra...

Re: Schaeffer AG shipment: hard to believe!

Huge necrobump, but I've just made a tiny 3hp panel in FrontDesign. Costs ~30 EUR, which is fine, but standard delivery to Hungary is 65 EUR… what the hell? Is this just a way to disincentivise people from ordering one-offs? Someone else made an almost identical post to yours last year. They were a...

Re: A Bigger Boat?

These are off to the states once I complete the rest of the order - 12u_pre.jpg ...and then, as i post the file above, i realise you are talking about 15u total, not 15u per row (the units in the photo are 12u per row!) Ive never made 5u boats, but i have 6u and 4u in stock (and a couple of 12u, but...

Re: Post-Brexit Mouser

One would hope that someone might realise before too long that some old people not liking pierogi is not a valid reason to completely fuck small to medium sized UK trade, but sadly it seems that the public school arseholes currently ruling over us are too busy wanking off over skips full of rotting...

Re: More bits of wood

Thank you for sharing so much detail! My father is an avid woodworker, he'll love it when I show him the picture of your work. Am not sure we have access to a lumber yard with quite such quality wood here. I think there is a good chance that you will have, and its just a case of finding it? This is...

Re: More bits of wood

Beautiful indeed! Which kind of wood is that Julian? I particularly like the patterns at the heart. Its English Oak with black epoxy. I'm trying to select the most visually attractive bits at the yard, and then i arrange the tool paths to make the most of what is present. If you like the bit at the...

I suppose what I'm trying to say is if you can bang out a 4 row option i may well be interested, given I'm about to enlist the services of my old man on a non folding solution (in ally). Drop me an email if you like and i can tell you more about what I've been up to and see if any of it is applicab...

Re: More bits of wood

Lovely. One thing that think is 'missing' from the diy scene is a 4 row config for 4u boats. We have 3 rows and 5 rows sorted but 4 rows I haven't come across. I've found the enclosure stuff quite satisfying. I started off doing the reclaimed mahogany ends, but quickly realised that there was just ...

Its only really a teaser, as i need to get them assembled and onto some boats for proper photos but i posted on FB, so may as well here. Rear expansion port midi panels

I cant make a big deal about this one. They're little metal plates with 4 words printed on them. It's hardly ground breaking! rearmidi.jpg In case its not obvious, they fit the rear expansion ports of the boats. I was asked to make these for Anthony Capelli's MUC project (pictured below) but they co...

Console case "boat" thing...

Years ago, I made a couple of these cases.  I was experimenting with a way to make midibox enclosures, but made one, single buchla style case. I was going through old photos the other day, and was reminded of it, and now wonder if I should "awaken" the idea again? console.jpg The point I'm unsure of...

Re: Stuff. Mostly old, but not all...

Those 106 panels from yesterday.

This job was for a member of the FB group who wanted their 100 series to match up with the 200 series panels.

It was, kind of, a custom 1-off job, i cut a pair just in case.

Re: Natural aluminum rampage front panel TAKING PREORDERS NOW

I made a part for the thread starter. As I don't have a rampage here, the single part made was largely a test part (as in I'm not going to make a run without confirmation first) I thought that the OP was going to post up photos of the final unit, but it did not happen, so that seemed to be the end o...
