Whole house surge protector (for you fridge/stove/washer/dryer/tv) and then power strip/surge outlets on everything of value. My power goes out 5-20 times per year (duration 5 min to 3 days at a time). The joys of living in the mountains. Won't even talk about the surges. At least no brownouts here.

Been sitting on an Aeron for 10 years (daytrader). Stopped using it about five years ago. Much happier. Now on a wooden dining chair and stand the other half of the day (picked up a super cheapo Ikea standing desk). Gave the Aeron to my wife and she used it for a year and now sits on a wooden dining...

After watching a bunch of reviews on Fenders I bought a Squire. Cheap, cheerful and a pretty nice Jazz in maple.

If you do get a Fender the Mexican ones seem to be more liked than the American ones.

Treat it like anything else in a box. If you haven't used it in X months (6,12 whatever), then you don't need it. Sell it. Hold onto the stuff that is valuable/collectible if you must, but get rid of the rest that you don't use. Storage is probably a poor solution. Monthly costs, access is a pain in...

There a lots of analogue Euro. Some people will not look at digital Euro at all. More importantly, where are the tubes in 5U? http://www.metasonix.com/index.php/rk5-dual-lowpass-gate-new I don't see why anyone would convert (the cost alone is silly). Just get a skiff as someone mentioned above. Unle...

Where did you guys order from? I'm in Canada and Moog Audio still doesn't have them and they don't have an eta. Can't wait to give this module a go, so hoping this is sooner rather than later. Looks like a ton of fun! Cheers! You can order directly from Intellijel but for some reason it is not on t...

Was wondering why there was no Buchla-esque modules in 5U? Feel free to school me on that statement. Sputnik does (or at least they did, don't know if these are still available). Here's all MU modules from Sputnik, several of which are Buchla-esque: https://www.modulargrid.net/d/modules/browser?Sea...

Perhaps it is the patching? Compared to VCV-Rack it is very unEurolike in patching. No idea why they went with behind the scenes patchcords?

When you click the green clone button it clones the whole project to your client which is usually just the source code. What you need is the compiled version (containing the dll). It looks like in this case the compiled version is posted in the project directory. Try this one: https://github.com/ms...

Are you using the downloads from this list? https://github.com/VCVRack/Rack/wiki/List-of-plugins If you randomly Google the names, you'll likely get weird downloads, but if you use the Mac/Windows/Linux links, it should work. Yes that is what I was using. I think... For example: https://github.com/...

Had to google what a Github was.... I got a few of them to work, others nothing. At least I figured some of them out. The ones with Latest Download seemed to work fine. The ones that list lots of lines like this one for example did not. I hit the clone/download button and download the zip file, extr...
