Re: Jomox ALPHA BASE

Both? Regretfully this sort of belated "disclosure" was omitted in your initial statement: " MFB Drum Machines have atrocious interfaces and noise issues and no stereo out on the lower end models. " Crapping on gear is fine but a "IMPO" or "IMHO" is common courtesy (and shall we say ? ....honesty).

Moderators (if you can be bothered to care for or be useful to this forum): when will you finally, at last, close this useless, shit stirring, and nasty wokefest thread ???? PS: I don't own Behringer stock, have no financial linkage with this company, but what's obvious is that Behringer did, as we...

After 10+ years of good and loyal services, my interface (EMU0404USB) is showing signs of impending major problems.
This will be its successor:

Re: Why buy used at recent market prices?

That's a bit of a weak argument, though. Buying an 'unpopular' manufacturer's gear from anywhere still creates / supports the market for their products. I didn’t say it was a good argument I meant it was the only reason I would personally ever pay anywhere near market price for a used piece of gear...

Re: A bit of a rant. State of tech in 2020.

Squarp Pyramid is great but Cirklon reigns supreme, especially if you have a hardware studio and modular. Especially if one is ready to spend over twice as much as a Pyramid, and wait 2-3 years to hopefully receive the fabled Cirklon. How much music could have been be created, how much sequencing k...

Re: A bit of a rant. State of tech in 2020.

Nobody has the courage to make a stand-alone sequencer in 2020 with what we now call "song mode" (a feature we just took for granted 20 years ago and did not have a name for it because if a sequencer didn't have it, it wasn't a sequencer). Hardware sequencers in 2020 must be a feature bundled with ...

lol .... Software samplers are just the equivalent of styrofoam: practical, effective, cheap, convenient, and ... ultimately disposable. People love their hardware sampler, they'll always will, modern or classic, top shelf or budget, doesn't matter. :) https://farm1.staticflickr.com/394/20114495016_...

Most beaters for cowbells have a limited life. Especially because on the low-tone strike, the beater must hit exactly the sharp metallic edge of the bell at the mouth. https://lacolonial.com.co/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/650x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/a/3/a3_1.jpg Most beaters are ma...

Re: Vermona DRM-1 MKIII in the year 2020

The DRM1 is a really nice machine, but imo the sweet spot on it is quite narrow, meaning that the vast majority of the sounds available are just too "specialty" to fit in the mix of typical music tracks. Another issue is the rabbit-hole temptation of tweaking knobs ad eternam. However imo it would b...
