Re: Behringer introduces RD-6

Again, I don't get it... Their page says on the silver one that the distortion is a clone of the Rat, when the other colours are the Boss DS-1?

Re: Behringer introduces RD-6

Wait.... They stuck a Boss distortion clone in the 303 clone but a Proco Rat into the 606?🤔

Re: What are your favourite Doepfer modules ?

I forgot to mention the a-115 octave divider. Cheap and brilliant, also you can use it as a weird sequencer.... Google it, there is some videos around explaining how to do so.

Electro Harmonix DRM 16.

I recently acquired a DRM 16 after years of hunting, and I know it is possible to add a clock out, as on some of its siblings (mine has the bass out and the two normal outputs). Anyone did it? Share your infos and experience, wigglers😊. Thanks.

Instruo SCION in action is pure beauty, and Mutable Instruments generally speaking.

Not a fan of Make Noise, and Blue Lantern needs to calm down.

Quick question: what are the parameters for the new Turing Machine mode? And is the output quantised? Thanks!

The TENS are definitely more than 60 cm since my plants are at least that far from the module. As the clippy ones, yes it does.... But you might as well use bare wires wrapped around them 😉
Definitely not enough talk about that incredible module on muffwiggler.... Brilliant tool.

So far the Behringer Roland clones seem to not be as close as the Boog was to the original, and more Meh-ringer. I'm not so sure. Re: Behringer TD-3 weird timing glitch, just me or anyone else?

In my experience, behringer synths have weird timing issues if there is a usb plug into the socket, even if that usb is not in use, and you are clocking from whatever other source...

Re: Chord oscillator for pad purposes

Braids with the Renaissance firmware is interesting for chords. Use the built in quantiser and you can get a sensible range of chords fitted to a scale rather than the same voicing just transposed with a root note other modules give you. THIS. My source for pads in every single patch I make. Plaits...

If you’re talking pop music then no one is using hardware.

I’m speaking more of “our people”. Techno, ambient, experimental, or in my case dark waveish.
This is empirical statement is untrue on so many levels.

Frames. Absolute swiss army knife of a module. Mutable Instruments Rings. I've been putting off getting one of these for years now. I know I'd love it... I just keep prioritizing other stuff, and then when I consider it again I don't have room in my case... :waah: THIS. the most underrated of Mutab...

Re: What is the worst synth sounding you ever bought and why ?

The korg poly800 is indeed a bit if a weird one. Hated it, but you could get interesting strings out of it... The Roland D5 and D110 were mentioned... Well, I used a D10 for years with my band, somehow one of the only sound source I had at the time, and I bloody hated the thing... Whatever style, no...

I tried nearly all the ones mentioned here. They are all really good (the intelijel one is brilliant), but to my ear the closest is the befaco. Opinions differ of course (I own 3 different MS20, as a reference).

This is the best news I've heard in a while, and a complete surprise! I sadly thought we'd seen the last of MI (although new batches of the older modules did still keep appearing at resellers so I hadn't given up hope of a reappearance completely). I'm gonna need a bigger boat though... Mutable Box...
