4 new albums in different styles

I've been quiet on here due to being in the studio a lot lately. I'm dropping all my releases i've been working on for the past few years. Apollyon's Visage - Shadows Within (Down Tempo/Post Goth/Witch House) - https://apollyons-visage.bandcamp.com/album/shadows-within Virtual Terrorist - Neurolace ...

Cool. I had to skim listen a little bit due to time pressures but I'll definitely be back to give it a proper listen. I really like tracks 1 & 4, I pretty much hate most of what I've heard called dark ambient (although most of the stuff I've heard is coming from a black metal direction) but I like ...

The WMD one really sounds like the winner. I know I need to be careful with volumes and all that. I just need something that can go louder. I'm usually beside a live drummer too which is just savage too. I usually one ear cup on and one off and its just for quick checks to see where my sounds are at...

100% Modular Dark Ambient Drone

This is the my first attempt at 100% modular dark ambient music. Mostly written in dark depressive states. Not for everyone.

Re: Need Output module with loud headphone out?

Hey everyone, Currently I have my Azimuth II going into my uJack. It's great and all for the studio but when i'm playing live I find the headphone out is not loud at all. Can someone recommend me one that has a lot of headroom. I would prefer 1/4 outs but would be ok with other options too. Thank y...

Swap that 8hp blank for a uO_c. I had an o_C and honestly hated it. I got into eurorack to get away from screens and menus. I need something jamable. No to say it's bad but it's just not my work flow. For something performable and immediate, what about Intellijel Steppy 3U if you need a gate sequen...

Disting has like 80 algorithms but you don’t have to use all of them. Some requires you to add things to a SD cars but if you skip those there are still tons and tons of things it can do. I use mine for 3-4 functions. I know them by heart so it isn’t a hassle in any way. Quick, easy and flexible. I...

I looked into the Disting... it looks like to much... work to be honest. I hate the idea of having to load in different things into it. I barely change out the samples on my memory cards lol.

I'm actually scaling back from a 12U system. It was just too big and expensive to justify. I'm selling most of it to fund a Quantum. I just want something to help wrap and mangle sounds to sample into the quantum. But thanks for the info. I'm going to look into these and see which route to go with. ...

Fun and flexible Utilities.

(Originally posted to the wrong topic) Hey everyone, so i'm reworking my entire rig to something smaller and more focused. I'm looking for some fun modules that are great for sound design and just being able to craft lots of sounds from. I don't want osc, delay or reverb modules as those are covered...

I looked through the information on tons and tons of different modules before I made my mind up. I knew I wasn't very interested in different coloured noise or uncontrollable s&h random. Like you I also wanted triggers with controllable randomness. I ended up with the Make Noise Wogglebug mk2 and t...

Marbles hey!? That one was on my list to check out. I'm probably going to grab one of those. I liked the Wogglebug but I found it to be wildly unpredictable (which isn't bad), but i needed something to control when the time was needed. I'm also grabbing a NoiseRing which is similar but seems to be m...

Branches is on my list. The coin toss option is very nice and allows a lot of control and random. :)

Need advice on random modules

I've been doing the eurorack thing for about 3 years now. Generally I use it for texture generation and ambient styles. I've been hunting around for some random modules to help with mixing things up but a lot of them I find are too fast or generate patterns. I'm looking for simple random modules to ...

Try putting some red noise through Paulstretch, then add some cathedral-ish reverb = :deadbanana:

NEW Improvised Dark Ambient set w/Eurorack + Retro gear

Recently I did my very first improvised electronic set with my bandmate. This was a totally new experience for us. Sadly we don't have any video of the event but we did record it. It's free/pay what you want. Let me know what you think :) Get it here! --> https://apollyons-visage.bandcamp.com/album/...
