Re: Meng Qi Wing Pinger

Has anyone managed to use the midi ? Tried the midi mode, but it seems to neither receive nor send signal not me actually. I've tried in different configurations but yet gotten it to work either. Hoping someone might suggest a solution! From the Menq Qui website: MIDI Modes Touch and release both O...

Re: Meng Qi Wing Pinger

Just got my invoice and dispatch from Schneiders. UPS have sent a delivery date of Thursday, 24/12/2020. If that happens I'll be having a very lovely Christmas but I'm not letting myself get too excited, Covide and the Christmas delivery avalanche will probably push it back. hope it arrives in time...

Mike Watt and Lemmy have already been mentioned but another one of my favourites is Leslie Langston from Throwing Muses.

Re: timeline / el capistan question

I agree it's not the same as the lo-fi on the Time Line but changing the rec level, mechanics, low cut, and wear controls on the Volante can get some pretty low-fi delays. I also have an Industrialelectric Echo Degrader which covers all of my lo-fi delay needs.

Re: timeline / el capistan question

FWIW I sold the Timeline and got the Volante, I don't like menu diving and prefer the hands on approach of the Volante. I never really used all of the models on the Timeline and always had to open the manual to go through the parameters.

Gale force winds blowing over the car park of the Dagenham East Travelodge (well, you did ask . . .) That's where I grew up, what a shit hole, the hotel's on the site of what used to be the May & Baker chemical factory. Hopefully it smells a bit better these days. Ah, well, in these difficult times...

Re: When are you gonna make REAL music? .. AND GET A DANGED HAIRCUT!!

Sod the music, I just wish I still had hair to cut Look in your ears. I find I have more than enough to trim in there, these days. They told me hair would grow in funny places as I got older, but no one told me it would grow *in* my ears! There are many ways to remove unwanted hair. https://www.the...

Re: interesting modern digital synths?

Yet, this is a pretty cool setup. I’m not completely not sold on the sound. Thought it’s good and with a cool pedal probably great. Some digital synths can sound so smooth and the older ones uniquely gritty. Hopefully we’ll get more of that. The Korg Wavestate sounds real good but jez it was menu d...

Re: One knob to control two cutoff frequencies

Channel 1 of the deopfer precision adder only sends out a 0-1V output with nothing connected to the CV in which is why you never got enough control over the filters.

i must say www.intergalactic.fm is very nice. lot's of interesting quirky curated material. mostly less hard hitting stuff, but still very deep, humorous and with a foot firmly planted in the past decades. thumbs up! :tu:

Amazing labor of love, and we would all love to hear how it sounds. PS. And be ready for a call from Uli Behringer. He won't call, you'll just see a teaser press release about the new Behringer synth ;) This looks amazing, one of the only vintage synths I have any gas for. I've only played wi...

Re: Interesting effects for live playing

I always used the Roland Scooper live. You need to get good at hitting record and play in time but once you've got your loop in there you can play around with it in lots of different ways, it's also got a nice DJ type filter built in. I know the Roland scatter is over-used and a bit of a cliche but ...
