Re: Frap Tools Brenso

20% is our tax and we show tax added by default or is there a Juno in US too? Perhaps they remove tax for overseas? 🤷‍♂️ i guess it was a combination of that and catching a favorable exchange rate at the time, as it then went back up to $639 USD (which is more in line the prices available stateside...

Re: Frap Tools Brenso

i too am awaiting my brenso from Juno to compare to CS-L and the CS-8 Omega Phi. oddly enough, Juno seemed to fire sale them on the day of release at 20% off. i wonder if thats because they noticed the damage upon their receipt of shipment. picked mine up for $546. now, it's also been lost in custom...

USB breakout/extension from module to separate euro panel?

DIY noob here. I'm looking for a way to get access to a rear mounted USB drive on the Instruo Arbhar without having to unrack the eurorack module every time i want to get access to the USB on the back (for uploading my own samples). I've been looking into panel mounted USB jacks, but they all seem o...

Re: QMMF-4 / RES-4 Alternative?

Found this comment in the L1 QVCEQ thread interesting: "I return on the RES-4 and L-1 Quad Vc Resonant versus... I have both, and they are really different in fact. RES-4 is organic as hell and clinical, but don't auto-oscillate. You can modulate parameters at very high speed, with FM effects. L-1 Q...

Latest Sinfonion test, I've had it about a week now and have been doing a few routing experiments, this one pushes the gate and slew out to my envelope for soloing madness.
Hey Rob, great stuff. what are you using for chords? couldn't tell from looking at pics of your rack.

Re: Hologram microcosm

i guess it does deal with Grains, but i'm finding it to excel at focusing on the looping of grain manipulations and textures using the phrase looper, kinda like a Chase Bliss Mood/Blooper, rather than being able to sculpt the grains themselves. it's like a Clouds with presets that you then record la...

Re: Guitar pedal send/return pedal thing

i have a Klein Bottle and a patchulator. both get used a lot. the Klein Bottle is a really amazing, for routing between 3 effects since it has built in filters and sends amounts to really sculpt. i feel like there is some bleed of dry signal in the pathway but that may be user error or related to ru...

Anyone else getting triggers being dropped on the external input? Check out the Past to Future IRs as they do great IRs captured from classic hardware. some venture into more creative usage with super long IRs (check out the Blade Runner ones). a bit pricey when buying them individually but they do a sale every now and then where you can get them all at a huge dis...

Re: ACL Sinfonion

Finally had a chance to plug mine in, and I'm getting some unexpected behavior. Clock -> Arp Clock Jack Arp Out -> Mordax Data -> Oscillator From video # 6, this looks like all I should need to do to get an arp going. The Mordax (and obviously the osc) isn't showing any voltage changes from the Arp...

It's absolutely amazing but it is by far the largest CPU hog out of all of my software. routinely hovers around 65% or more on my PC i7-5820 3.3GHz with 32gb RAM. there is no official manual but there is a 20 min overview video which goes over the general layout and how to assign modulation as well ...

For anyone wondering about latency, they told me its around 1ms for both midi and gate triggering. Interested to see if that holds true as early adopters beat the hell out of it. I'm interested in this for the upcoming flux temporal modulation sequencer. Maybe four of them  yeah same here....

[/quote] Sorry you're having a problem. The thing to keep in mind is that Assimil8or requires integer WAV files. Often, when folks have trouble loading samples, it's because they're trying to import floating point WAVs. Ableton, for example, exports samples as floating point. Try converting your sam...

Bob: thanks so much for that. Is it possible to draw in the preset dots so we know whats what easily? there are more algorithms than available slots on the module. Pick a bunch and make your own firmware to test out. its super easy using the Fx Aid tool on the website, with a custom cheat sheet gen...

additionally with using the 16n, i've found that having CV control using sliders via i2c frees up the physical inputs for lots of gates/latches. not that i need 16 of them, but certainly helpful if triggering samples or when using loopers to punch in/out.

just an observation here about the strike input. 2ms triggers from Sapel seem to not activate strike as expected so i'm using Stages to convert to gates. T outputs from Marbles work as expected even when shortening the gate length to their shortest (hold button and turn down Bias CCW). Arbhar manual...
