I have one I’ll probably never use.
I’m in France though.
HI,
is your 208 panel from Electric Music Store? :cloud:

Re: STS Serge power question

Should be ok but you have a lot of VCO's (as per Serge paradigm) in those two panels. It is part of the modules which consumn the most.
Check if those are stable enough. If it start's getting unstable, good chances you have not enough juice and more powerfull PSU will be mandatory.

Finally listening.
Great moments in there yes. Some scenes come to mind when listening (androïd's laughing, planes flying etc.).
Very nice Robert.

And the legend says that Simone is finally listening too (private joke).

Re: Lets Talk About Buchla Oscillators

Model 258 has never been released under the "e" flag officially by Buchla. It's basically a modern re-interpretation (fully compatible with "e" system !) made available by a great wiggler : http://studiohsoftware.com/ I don't think PCB has ever been available for building your own but you may want t...

Re: Where can I find Buchla 227r program cards

If my memory serves me correctly, 2/pcs pieces was (are ?) delivered with 227r v2 but this Program Card* PCB hasn't been released on it's own.
Might be a good idea to contact Electric Music Store indeed.

*it's more an I/O routing pcb than a proper Program Card though.

Re: 258 clones - differences?

It's easy to tell if an oscillator is good-sounding even if its tracking isn't well-calibrated.[...] Tweaking and calibration of the alt wave level is more important than tracking/scaling. Good sounds are not limited to melodic. Exactly. I think in the 258, the "magic" is into the modulation index ...

Re: 258 clones - differences?

For what is worth i found both 258r a bit too "clean". It's somewhat like the modulation index was a bit more limited on the R than in the other versions. Something in FM wasn't doing the trick as good as others, to my opinion. It was certainly the best tracking ones (6/7 octaves w/ or w/out the Ua7...
