Re: Grayscale shits on Mutable’s open source license

Darn, now I’m not sure which sharpener I’m supposed to use on my pitchfork. Can someone explain which parts I need to be offended by and which parts are OK?

Intellijel just said the manual is wrong and the module does not respond to negative voltages at the pitch input? But your does?

Re: FIVE12 Eurorack Vector Sequencer Teaser

I’m sure there’s room for improvement, but I’ve used it long enough that I don’t even think about it anymore. The only things that annoy me at all are the dead-ends in some of the menus (the groups of 8 steps now wrap around in the new firmware at least) and that returning to Global after editing a ...

Any idea when 2.0 is out?
I don’t think it’s quite imminent yet- I know of at least one feature he wants to implement that’s not yet functioning in the betas.

Sadly this isn’t new for them, I had a similar experience over a year ago- module was supposedly shipped but it took a couple of weeks to actually get to the post office.

Re: Don't order from Modular 8

Fuck that shit. (Referring to the hope they go out of business comment) In spite of being intentionally hobbled (which we won’t go into cause politics), they are generally doing a pretty good job, at least with Priority Mail. Got something Friday that was shipped from across the country on Tues. Got...

Re: How to upload wavetables to SWN ?

The simple method explained in the manual works perfectly well.

All you need is anything that can play audio that has an 1/8” output (for example, the computer that you would use to run the edit software) and a patch cable that you already have.

Yeah, unless you had to remove them for space reasons, or to afford the WMD ones.

But those logic functions! Haven’t even got that far after a few weeks, lots more to explore.

I’m definitely keeping Knight’s Gallup and Branches though, at least. And PNW isn’t going anywhere.

Re: WMD Metron sequencer

Popped in to say how much I’m loving it. My beats are better than ever! I’d been using a combo of algorithmic (Euclidean, Branches) and preset (Grids, Zularic) but with Metron plus Volteras and Axxent, I feel like I’m at a whole nother level. Sure, I need to program the beats, but now that seems eas...

Re: NE Desmodus Versio

Im excited for this one. Love love love the dual function knobs where one half does one thing and one half does another. Just like a dj filter, very intuitive. I wonder why more eurorack companies dont do that. Ughh, I’m the opposite. Almost every knob goes from minimum to maximum, but then you hav...

Re: Supercell: expanded version of Clouds + Superparasites firmware

“low-quality micro modules” ?? Pretty sure there are a lot of people out there who’d disagree with that assessment. Regardless of any hurt feelings, there are plenty of skilled builders out there making these things. And BTW, I have 2 MI Peaks that both have loose wobbly buttons, and 2 Piques that a...

I have 3 of them now, and an Axxent. I think I’m good right there- not that I’m not tempted to want even more, but it gets hard to keep track of what’s doing what.
