What is Behringer doing? If they just put out the stuff they've announced at a great price, the amount of people who would care that they cloned the equipment would be minimal compared to the amount of product they would sell. Hell, the ARP, the SH-101 and 808 clones would probably be hot sellers fo...

To chime in on the sampling, I know it's been mentioned how much Front 242 used samplers (I think Front by Front used the EMU Emulators a lot!), so a samplers would probably be key. Small samplers like the GrandPa would work, but you might need a more fully featured sampler like the Nebulae v2 , the...

I don't think Heet Sound would have a case for suing tc electronic, based on the appearance and function of the two devices. The EBow has to be held a lot closer to a string, and the grip is different. But then again I am not a patent lawyer Probably not. Looking on the eBow website, it says the eB...

Is the eBow still under patent? If not, I wonder if we'll see more clones like this.

Would an upgraded Pi like the new B+ give better performance or more shaders? Yes absolutely. I'm pretty limited right now. Anything that needs to loop over multiple iterative passes doesn't really fly. And I've actually gone the opposite direction and picked up Pi Zeros. But what's really interest...

Matrixsynth has a board comparison with a Pro-One

It seems like it's going to be a eurorack-compatible module, ala the Model D.

It's not quite the mixer I was expecting (I agree about the speakers, they seem like a very limited use case).

I did see on CDM that the price was $169, so I think it's not bad for the price/features.

The PCB looks like it would be a eurorack size. The only clones that were supposed to be eurorack were the MS-20, the Wasp and the Octave CAT.

Like I said, given the number of patch points, the MS-20 clone seemed like the most logical choice.

GovernorSilver wrote:I'd bet more on any clone other than an MS-20 clone, given how cheap the MS-20 Mini is already.
I dunno, I was leaning towards the MS-20 clone they teased due to the number of patch points in the pic. I was one of the three eurorack-sized clones that were in the tease they posted earlier.
