well done, it reminds me of my first experiments with a VP-330. Very musical and playful, much, much better than I ever did. Thank you, that was pleasing to hear.

there are powerbanks with selectable outputs; 9V, 12V, 16V, 19V, 20V, that can power pedals, modular systems, small speakers, etc.

very good old versions, zedius. Thank you. They sound a bit like Severed Heads at that time. This explains why they did a tour together, with à;Grumh... also.

Re: Volca Modular - I got one (review / compare with Easel).
there is a good tutorial series and a book from Tony Hogan. I've watched through all 9 videos. There are a couple of interesting details I probably wouldn't have found myself. Hogan definitely spent more time with the synth, and I'm grateful to see his findings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBjbe...

Re: miRack for iOS - now available
MIDI out would be great. I guess it's just a question of time. Meanwhile, the Rozeta AU plugin suite (a collection of MIDI generators) can be used as a modular MIDI out. Actually all sequencers and MIDI generator apps can be combined together in a host app like Audiobus, Apematrix, and AUM as a modu...

Re: How much iPad does one need?
iPad2 is still very useful, as a sequencer or controller. I have two of them, today mainly for colour correction control (element-VS app from Tangent) in DaVinci Resolve and in CaptureOne. The important thing is, for music application, the right audio/MIDI interface for iPad. A simpler and cheaper v...

there is an audio in module. I haven't tried it yet with an interface, but it's Core Audio, so it should work with ES-8 and ES-9.

Re: What are your goals when it comes to modular synthesis?
I like the idea of a sand mandala, and modular synthesis being a variant of it. Another thought is to create music that is not possible with traditional instruments. While it is also a good challenge to re-create natural sounds and events, the main strength of modular synthesis is to create somethin...

Re: how do you practice?
I just play. Then other tasks appear, and I forget. Then I play again, with a new patch or a new software. Then I forget again. All the while when I'm not doing music I keep practicing in my mind. Just plugging or connecting things together. Sometimes even in my dreams. Listening. Listening to sound...

Re: Touch controller?
the Morph is probably the most affordable and versatile touch controller available. I got one and it is very good. Tip: don't buy the QWERTY layout, it is not good. Just the normal keyboard layout and possibly the Thunder layout.

Re: Your favorite iOS synths.
indeed the Borderlands update makes it an even more valuable external 'module' when the iPad with audio/MIDI interface is situated next to the modular system. Another good thing is that the Borderlands update works with an antique iPad2. Recent new synths worth mentioning: - Synclavier Go. A Synclav...

Re: My love for Fixed Filter Banks.....FFB
I like the Doepfer filterbank, but I find the knobs to be too stiff. It is just not a pleasure to operate the knobs, and I don't see a way to make the movement smoother. That's why I'm wondering if the Behringer Moog-Filterbank clone could be better (and in the same price range). But I'm not sure. I...

Re: video editing
DaVinci Resolve has a new 'Cut' page where you can so simple editing. And of course the 'Edit' page. And it is free, I believe also for 4k output (but at least for HD output), it just hasn't some professional tools like denoising. For this you need the Resolve Studio version. For iPad there are two ...

never witnessed something like that. Also, never lost a preset. Maybe you should document your experiences with the module and contact Endorphines.minipusice wrote: Also, can anyone check if the display is on even when no power supply is plugged in (but the "to device" is connected to a computer).

I think it is expected that it triggers one voice after another. I don't see the problem. Besides, perhaps you may want to set all Velocity and Pressure outputs to uni (0 to 10V) instead of bi (-5 to 5V). But I don't know your patch and modules, maybe you want bipolar outputs. What exactly is the pr...
