Re: Behringer System 55

Gonna think about this inductor thing more.... If you all can make an inductor version of this I'll be totally amazed. Best success! I'm guessing that will be a pretty deep module, one long horizontal card going back about six or seven inches, but could be wrong. Will publicly say I'm now consideri...

I love the sound of drooping analogue sample and hold. I'm being really careful not to start accumulating them to compare.

Re: Are Multis really necessary?

Agree with everyone's comments. You don't need to use rackspace for a passive mult. I gaffer tape them to the sides of skiffs or just use them as adapters on the table, uninstalled. I also have screwed them right onto a wood table. It works! I prefer mults over stackables for visual sense of what's ...

Gotta agree. Does anyone have an opinion on the trapezoid setting on it, compared to a dedicated trapezoid generator like the FSFX 105?

Sorry for contributing to this current mood in the discussion. I'm a doofus.

I'm DELIGHTED to hear about PCBs in progress. This is outstanding. I love the weekly progress updates and will enjoy the ever loving x-rated movie out of a TE-2 when it arrives.

I shall try to hold back. I have not gotten personal, so I don't see where your claims that I have are coming from. The inferences you've made are just that: inferences that YOU have made. All I've stated is how much I disagree with how Jim has chosen to conduct his business, and in the process hav...

EDIT: EPTC, it's clear to me that we have markedly different lenses with which we view this same product. That's fine. I'm ok with agreeing to disagree. Would prefer to leave it at that as opposed to going personal, as you've opted to do. That also doesn't mean I need to stop posting. Totally fair,...

Why the personal attacks? At no point have I attacked you. If that's what you have to resort to in your defense of Jim, then I'm not sure you have much of a leg to stand on. FWIW I've never purchased a single item from Sweetwater. Ha, I'm not being personal. In so much as you aren't when you call J...

Re: THE SPACE CASE TE-2 - Eurorack / Standalone Echo + Tape Unit

White knighting is all well and good, but this is someone who sold people a product , made some promises about the nature and timing of delivery and hasn't apparently got anywhere near it. If he'd run a crowd funder to bankroll a creative process, maybe you'd have the rudimentary beginnings of a po...

Of course I do. I've worked for multiple startups, I am a musician (obviously). What I do not understand is the complete inability to accurately represent understanding of timelines to customers who have outlaid large sums of money. Man, I am sorry for you. Best success on getting a 56! They do show up. Btw, the phrasing on this listing is hilariously suspicious! cosmetic condition the frontpanel has some minor scratches. knobs are covered with an undefined sticky substance "Undefined sticky substance" is my favorite Metasonix module, incidentally.

Re: Moog Matriarch Announced

I love the new skins on these, but dislike the square red buttons. Sort of makes them look like a DSI synth. I'd prefer white on 'em. Red is part of the 5U palette, but usually only for small round buttons. Still, very lovely! I remembering pining pretty solidly for the Voyager in a similar legacy 5...

I got a few (two, i think each) from version one of the IRig midi. Those are pretty cheap now, they're the large non-lightning adapter version. Sample listing but I'm sure you can find these for $20, cables included: https://reverb.com/item/34382262-ik-multimedia-irig-midi https://images.reverb.com/...

So I like a lot of these, but the FFB is just a trinket compared to a real one. We can agree? How does it sound compared to other FFB clones? I imagine somewhere close to the Dotcom one? Does the signal attenuate? I saw KSS post the PCB on a previous page and it's about as similar to an actual 907 o...

Re: 4 or 8 Channel Mixer with Switches

Silly question - what is clipping? Man, the world we're in today! I appreciate you asking though, as asking a question gets an answer. Clipping is distortion caused by exceeding the threshhold of a signal. If you're watching a meter of audio level and it exceeds the yellow or green and begins to be...

I’m talking about something more like the latter: if you have the PPQN of the incoming clock set to 1, manually triggered gates sent to the clock input act as a tap tempo function for Pam’s internal clock. I personally use the gate button on my Planar2 for this.
Cool tip! Thanks, friend.

The knob isn’t the only way to control Pam’s tempo. One can use voltage control or tap-tempo with an externally supplied gate. I believe we're describing the same thing. Just as you're saying, I'm describing the benefit of a using an externally supplied gate. Or maybe not - Are you meaning a footsw...

Re: Announcing ALM017 - Pamela's NEW Workout

I thought PNW was supposed to excel as a master clock? It does indeed, but an external clock is much easier to use dynamically, as Pam's only has one dial — for all its functions — so changing the BPM isn't possible when you're in a menu on something. I use an LFO for my master clock on everything ...
