Re: Interested in a reprint of Allen Strange's Electronic Music?

I'd love to see the other ones. Weird that they're in gif format. Please post them here, or email them to me (jnolan@ryerson.ca). I'll ask Pat Strange if she wants them too, though perhaps she has all this stuff. Thanks! Very welcome!, yeah I thought they were worth posting. The gif format is likel...

Sound Design Tutorial for ERASERHEAD and 2001: A Space Odyssey with a 907 FFB and an SSL Scat Talker

Hey all - I've been doing a weekly audio show since Covid broke out called Spoken Word with Electronics and I'm onto episode seventeen. All the episodes are viewable at http://www.ep.tc/spoken-word This week I thought I'd deconstruct some of the nicest room noise components of Eraserhead and 2001: A...

I really look forward to having this mechanical device under midi/cv control..
There's midi on this dreamer? Or do you just mean a Midi to CV signal?

For CV, I'd be interested in using an Landscape HC-TT to hand crank a delay pattern with the CV it sends out into some of the TE-2 parameters.

Re: Interested in a reprint of Allen Strange's Electronic Music?

Thought this might be interesting. Found a few reviews from the era of Strange's very wonderful book. Here's the most comprehensive, it's not exactly looking at the material in the right way but a great time capsule, particularly for how turbulent academic review of new ideas can appear to be. I love my Ditto X2's, I have three of them and have no reason to expand beyond them. I like out of sync looping. The only looper that's actually caught my eye is a cheap Ditto clone: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/uiwAAOSwvd9eTsvK/s-l640.png They tend to run very cheap, around $65-80 and it's the sp...

Hi EPTC, sorry, you asked for U.S. pricing. Saw that too late... [I wired 210,-€ to Russia. Including taxes, shipping, insurance and customs. (The QO itself is 150,-€ without all the previously mentioned sh.t on top...)] Thank you, Winglad! Pricing in any currency is good, just trying to ballpark. ...

Re: I see Vlad's been hitting the bong again...

Budgeting question: Can anyone in the US tell me how much total cost on a QO was after shipping/fees? Much appreciated.

(Also, indirectly, obviously looking to buy one if anyone here is considering selling, but a new purchase is totally cool - just wanting to calculate total cost) - Thanks, all.

Retrieved audio from 20 year old zip discs and DAT, “The Apartment” (A Recovered Memory of Chicago, 1996)

Hi, all: Rather interesting release here, just for the process involved. Maybe this has happened to you with digital recording: I wrote a spoken word piece and recorded it in 2003. This was during a prolific period where I started more ideas than completed, and “The Apartment” was one of those unfin...
