Re: Korg 2600 Mini

I´d like to know if the nuts are real, metal ones, or just a fake, moulded plastic as in the MS-20 mini...in the picture the nuts are all suspiciously aligned. I'd like to know too before i preorder. And. Fake screws would be a bit off wouldn’t it. For that price fake nuts would just be insulting i...

Hey Somedude, enjoy your R51! - I have mine swapped with some telefunkens. Re: 5U module that sends out just a consistent "on" 5v signal

to the OP, doesn't your CP251 have an attenuator output you can set to +5v? Thanks umma gumma, yep! But the mixer is taken with a bunch of other uses. It's a good suggestion, as is every suggestion here (particular interested in KSS' one on a constantly triggering envelope with long decay) I'm just...

Do you have any sound demo's that you could share? I'm very curious about this myself.
Sorry to not have something immediate, but yeah! Compare last week's show (episode 40 or before), to the one I post on Monday, episode 41.

Re: 500 Series: Compressors and EQ’s for Electronic Music Production

same thing happened to me when I ran SM57 thru an API 512c vs my interface.. noticeable improvement. Cheers! Yeah I use an SM57 for a lot of vocal work too. Now considering a Cloudlifter, the only issue with the 511 is it maxes out gain to get a signal. So a Cloudlifter (especially with that impede...

Re: Stuffing the Dotcom 163 EuroRack Adapter?

So if power is no consideration, I'd suggest putting a Xaoc Zadar (10HP) three Metasonix RK modules (24HP combined - RK7, RK6, RK3) and a single blank.

Yeah, the top & bottom sections are completely independent.

And yup, the bottom section, with no input connected, will produce ~+5V when the knob is fully clockwise.
Rockin! - Thanks for both your comments, and for this reply - Yep, I think we have a winner. I need more offsets, anyway! :)

Re: Prophet 5 is back....

in fact prices are incredible high for originals, so why Moog doesn´t take this chance to make money? I think this is the right moment to make another batch Boogs could sound close or identical, but it´s more than obvious that there is still a big market for originals and reissues. Look at how peop...

Re: 5U module that sends out just a consistent "on" 5v signal

Both the top & bottom sections of the Dotcom Q125 Signal Processor can do this. With no input signal patched, the 'offset' control sends a variable DC voltage to the output. Yeah! This might be the winner! So, just to clarify: I can still use the top half of the module as a proper offset with anyth...

Re: 5U module that sends out just a consistent "on" 5v signal

The Q147 Distributor sends a 5V signal from output 4 if nothing is send to input. That might be great! Will look into that one Awesome suggestions, all of these! (Thank you as well, Dave and TimeRaveler!) I like the sample hold theory. Only S&H module I have here is a CP251 - I'd be curious if it r...

5U module that sends out just a consistent "on" 5v signal

Hey all! Simple request here, ideally there's something already panel designed and cheap in 5U. Is there a module that just sends out a constant on 5v signal? I'd like to use it to switch back and forth on things that are gate triggered. I've already made the switch and have a few gate circuits that...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

I thought it was a bad look for places like Noisebug to carry Behringer, personally. Pleased to see the shift in market. This is better, long term, for all the small-batch manufacturers that you want to support. Someone interested in an AJH, for example, won't be confused by a half price identical B...

I´m seriously waiting for a new batch of reissue Minis You can thank Behringer for that never EVER happening. They caused the full sized Moog reissues to cease production. Pleased to see people still prefer the real thing. Go to reverb and see how much reissue minimoogs are going for presently, btw...

Re: 500 Series: Compressors and EQ’s for Electronic Music Production

Just want to add here - Finally got my mics running through the Neve 511. I'd just been using it as a line input to get to understand the silk dial and high pass, holding off on putting a mic in for a bit. Holy cow, I'd just been using a Mackie Onyx mic pre for years. The first millisecond of runnin...

Oh, also, the 511... Yeah, freaking love it. Lovely review (all of it) - learning my way around a 511 and pleased to hear your experience - and the info on the 545! If we're talking color boxes Nice boxed lunch! How're you liking the 511. I love the sweeping highpass filter on that thing. That's a beautiful mic pre. Curious about your use of the 545! Looks neat but agree on sound. You'll find very comparable apps that graphically move like this and sound similar on the Ipad, but this is nice physical interface for something app-like. Might be very nice as a controller, though.
