Bugcrusher 08 Power supply
hi, I've got a Bugcrusher 08 power supply 12v AC 300ma that I've been using to power my RIngMod box but it's US voltage and it looks like I'm staying back in the British Isles for the foreseeable future so I want to change over a UK power supply. Tom, what adaptor do you recommend? Lighter the bette...

Re: Chase Bliss & Meris CXM1978 reverb (Lexicon 224 LARC-like pedal)
GrantB I'm very tempted by this as just sold my CXM as it was distorting too easily when I tried it with bass or synth as soon as I had the bass slider above halfway. I tried it at various points in pedal chain but couldn't get it to work as I wanted. Going back till to the BAM for now.

great to hear a good story about an effects company. I love my Biscuit and 2nd BAM (regretably sold my first one) and good to know they won't become paperweights if something goes wrong.

Re: HKA DIGITIZER
ADG I think you could easily use both a lot, they're different enough. as the biscuit is stereo i tend to use it processing a mix (which is why I'd like to get another to just use with certain drum sounds) but the digitizer tends to go between other pedals earlier in the effects setup. I like old sa...

Re: HKA DIGITIZER
ADG it's got a more limited sound range compared to the biscuit (which I have and love) and as it's more basic at times it's easier to dial in what I want. I tend to keep it near by at hand level and I adjust it while I'm playing it.

Re: Modern Cassette Recorders
I highly recommend a Denon DN-780R, dual cassette recorder. I picked one up on ebay for £20 a few years ago. It's got separate pitch control on each side plus stereo mic input with level control.

fantastic pedal. as skkatter says it's a set and forget if it's on the floor. I do wish it had a cv input to control if from a sequencer; I'd get a second one.

Re: New guitar pedals from Chandler Limited!
I've had the germanium pedal since they came out and I'd highly recommend it. I use it along with an Effectrode Drive pedal. Really good for synths, electric piano, organ, loops & guitars.

when every tone and effect edit is destructive. anyone know if you can get reaper to do this? I use an older version of audacity when I need to do edits or some quick mixing, but the rest is on 4-track cassette. I use it because of the destructive edits, though there's undo till you close the progr...

Re: Motas-6 synth
Petajaja - I've been considering a second one since soon after I got mine last year and this update will make fighting that impulse even harder.
GrizzleB - the v word I'd use for the Motas-6 is versatile. It can do a lot and sometimes it takes a long time to get there.

Good news re the updates. If the USB isn't working, how are you loading the updates or doing patch backups?

Re: Replacement Case for Grendel Drone Commander?
I'm looking to get a 2nd grendel & expander so figured out tonight that I'm going to get a 100hp wide 3D case done by a guy here in the UK. That way I can fit the deep modules (like distingEX, 2hp bells, etc) that don't fit in my frap tools plus cases.

Re: Replacement Case for Grendel Drone Commander?
Mule, thanks for doing this thread and saving me the time. I was hoping there'd be more options and I mistakenly thought my Pulp Logic case would be perfect for it but it's way short. I wonder if the Roland SYRE84 Eurorack Synth Module Case would work. (edit - forget that read else where it has 85cm...

Re: Motas-6 synth
There's a lot to learn on the Motas-6 but it's well worth it. It has a super wide range of sounds and it rewards the time you invest into it. My way of learning at the beginning was to have it hooked up the computer for the first while but I found that very quickly I didn't need to rely on the compu...

for frac cases, maybe some collab with Bugbrand on cases as they squeeze in 11 spaces.

I second that. and if the modules could be shallow so they'd fit in bugbrand type cases.
