Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

Loving it a lot and glad to finally have it in my life. Haven't made any scales yet but I'm excited about it.

I've enjoyed putting it through the WAVER using the different stereo spread modes.

Re: Frap Tools USTA

It is and workarounds are a part of making music from your mind. Luckily modular has a lot of tools that allow you to do those features with other modules if some do not. I recently requested a feature to reSTATE the sequencer(return to the original sequence state), but it's not possible without the...

Might help your search. I personally don't think fidelity is something you need to worry about. This isn't a mixing desk so most things should sound the same and if you don't like how it sounds, it's very easy to swipe.

Re: Let's talk VCAs - What makes a good one?

There's not a lot of diversity to changing amplitude. It's not a compressor or filter. Just a way to increase and decrease amplitude. Distortion modules exist that have VCAs as well so they'll have character. The Casper Waver has VCAs and distortions. Is that what you mean? A lot of VCAs are using t...

Re: How Can I Hear Multiple Moog Semi-Modulars In My Headphones?

EXT AUDIO on the DFAM

Plug out from the Sub to that or maybe just get a tiny mixer.

The EXT AUDIO might be for processing check the manual.

Re: cuircuit bent euroracks? is it digital still?

Your understanding of digital and analog is a bit skewed. Digital modules still use pots and resistors, they also use processors which is the digital part.

Touchdown. Don't know why it's b-stock but it's minty.

Really wish it was an IEC cable and not another wall wart to add to my life. Time to read the fucking manual. Going to try and replicate some Sh01A patches in this thing.

Re: Oh no! Weezer had a Eurorack system in their new video!

Yeah, that's why you're not seeing companies actively engaging on here once the brand is established. Best to just use it for product releases and not discussing personal matters. People want to make everything an issue or not an issue or shove an opinion or be cool or want not a computer to be a co...

Re: Do we not need more stereo mixer options?

I’d call it more a submixer, but the new quad Doepfer A-135-3 could be a useful building block for folks in your situation. Includes VCAs. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/doepfer-a-135-3 I hope more competition comes out around this stereo VCA. It's shocking that there aren't more stereo vca/mixers. ...

Re: Bread and Butter Analog Oscillators in 2020

As a belated follow up, I have the DPO and STO combination, but I don't consider this a 'matched set' of analog bread-n-butter (does anyone else think of pickles when they type this?) oscillators; this are 3 very different oscillators, analog and quirky but certainly not matched. This is most evide...

The STO. I've owned and sold I think 5 in the 5 years I've been doing this. The sound is great and the versatility it can perform once you start using all the jacks is amazing.

Great! This is a better Weezer song in a bit. I knew either the bassist or a gear friend of his had to be among us, seeing that rig.

Hope Eurorack continues to grow.

Re: Make Noise QPAS

Thanks for these ideas. I've been struggling to really love it. I do enjoy it but I know I haven't figured it out. I do get some fun sounds out of it beyond traditional filtering but the Q is something I'm never able to control how I want.

Re: Stillson Hammer MKII: Tips, Tricks, and Assists

You have to set a scale if you want the CDE format, otherwise it's just voltage. Check the manual and watch some tutorials on YT. There's some differences between your firmware and the latest firmware to note.

I still have and use both, but Marbles more for modulation and not pitch sequencing. I see what you mean though. I bet using the looping function with the USTA would provide some fantastic fun, but does indeed have some overlap result wise.

Re: Frap Tools USTA

It seems to be an issue with clock syncing in general. A clock can't predict the future so it needs two pulses to gather the pulse, but I've noticed it taking three or four pulses sometimes to get going. Using the AUX RUN function has helped a bit, but I imagine that doesn't help you. Try emailing/m...
