Re: Behringer Mono/Poly!

That demo sounds horrible! Nothing close to the richness and timbral variety of the mono/poly I've owned and performed/recorded with for the last 22 years. But, we can't rule out "operator error" for this demo, it doesn't seem the performer figured out what to do with the cross-mod or filter settin...

Doesn't seem so to me. In any case Kodamo Essence is more advanced.
The Kodamo creator hints it is in a forum post. Kodamo is of course expanded in functionality.

Re: Behringer 2600

Its strange because you dont seams to read what ARP said either in your quest for "technical thrutism"! Shouldn't you live as you preach? You talk about matching in expos which is a general concept then narrows it down into a very specific expo design, thats not honest "truthfull technical" debatin...

Re: Behringer 2600

Most demos is crap these days, im not worried, if B2600 is cheapo and as long it sounds OK, 3340 or not why would i care of none exact clone of ARP2600. Where does Behringer say its exact clone of A2600? The product literally has 2600 in the name, the 2 part video tease starts off with a real 2600 ...

Re: Behringer 2600

No, it's not 3340 based. Rob makes that clear in the Part 2 video. But a few other things he says *do* fit into why you're asking. And why you mention the 101. Thats saad covfefe, as i had hoped to get some cheap ass V3340 in ceap ass a A2600 imitation/illusion. Im very pragmatic about synths and b...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.

If they didn’t give “an f about who likes them or not”, they wouldn’t release countless teasers and quasi “announcements” about synths that they may or may not eventually clone. I don't see that at all. I mean, I know it's marketing...but it's so "lo-fi" for a company like them. I feel like the ton...

Re: Open source being used commercially

I dont think the issue is the fact people do draw schematics differently, so your "schematics copyright" automatically goes away by using common sense and engineering practice. But with CAD systems people using same standard library symbols schematics do tend to look the same but that doe not increa...

Re: Open source being used commercially

That is exactly the opposite of what I said. Nope, thats what you present it as see below, then your argumentation of copyright is linked to selling copies, then tangles up the whole thing even more by injecting patents into the thing.Find me the court case who says schematics stands on the same gr...

Re: Open source being used commercially

I think you completely misinterpreted the previous post. Your riddle isn't a riddle. Each would have copyright claim to their own original work. Same as if two people draw pictures of the same green leafy tree. That doesn't stop someone else from drawing their own tree, or stop them from drawing th...

That we must have this ethics conversation speaks volumes alone, due to those who couldn't give less than a shit about it. I'd far prefer Korg invest in and re-release quality vintage kit than Behringer and their lowest-common-denominator model. Korg (and others at every level of the field) might b...

No it does not, please define what common perception is , also define that in the context of what gear should cost relative FIAT's floating format (i.e not linked to gold) and normal people have always been about lowest cost, A6 is a example of the opposite you claim . Re: Open source being used commercially

I understand that PCB layouts may be subject to copyright, but not schematics. Schematics are absolutely subject to copyright. They're just drawings, and drawings are subject to copyright. That means you can't just stick one in the photocopier and sell copies of it. But the circuit expressed by the...

Re: Behringer System 55

Genuine question. What has been damaged, and how? https://www.moogmusic.com/ You really think this damages Moog? I really don't think so. When Behringer release the cheapest possible "clones" of gear as they've done with the Minimoog D, it harms the general perception of what gear should cost and t...
