Re: ANALOGUE WAVEFORM GENERATOR MODEL 25S

Leaving this comment here just in case anybody else comes across this issue.
On the Rev 2.0, currently sold by EMS, the 15V+ is not connected to any of the ICs. I wired it up like this to fix the issue

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Wow very excited! I also received a new PCB with a pre solderd STM32 microcontroller from Samodular! :yay: So the party is really getting started! I just built this version, its a really nice build and very straightforward! Be careful with switch orientations, while most (on)-on normalize d...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Yes, that's a bug the development team also found recently. It's fixed in the version of the code we're working on now which should be available reasonably soon. Thanks for posting such a clear description -- and if you find anything else please do say so! Awesome, glad that lock up will be fixed! ...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Noticed an odd behavior and wanted to see if it was a known issue in software. On Right Programmer(Correct behavior?) 1. strobe/cont up to continuous -> yellow light goes on 2. start -> no affect 3. strobe/cont back to center position -> red light goes on 4. start -> starts On Left Programmer (Bug) ...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Going to stick to st-flash for now, seems to work fine for the upload. Noticed I put in the Advanced, Display and Reset switches backwards :bang: Turned those around and everything appear to be working smoothly, although I only tested the basic functionality. :sb:

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Thanks for the help but its still the same issue that the binary is improperly signed. Looks like this is actually an issue with 10.15.6 https://community.st.com/s/question/0D5 ... na-v-10156

Re: MARF 248r source code available

I reinstalled everything after upgrading the JRE and it has the same issue

Is it running for you on Catalina? 10.15.6? I know A bunch of changes to the file structure and security were a part of the major update.

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Have you tried just running the /Applications/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/STM32CubeProgrammer.app/Contents/MacOs/bin/STM32CubeProgrammer by double clicking it, not by executing `java -jar` you shouldn't need to run that command Yup, that does the same thing as when I run jar -j...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Looks like you need the Java Runtime Environment, not the JDK. https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase-jre8-downloads.html I have a JRE but I updated to the one you linked to: java -version java version "1.8.0_261" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_261-b12) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bi...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

The error I previously mentioned was after getting java 1.8 running. I wasn't able to solve the issue with the invalid code signature though. I was able to get the code uploaded without the programmer application using: > st-flash --debug --format ihex write ~/Downloads/MARF_v2.5b3.hex Everything se...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

Thanks cygmu, seems like I've gotten further along now. I guess this can't be installed using java 11 so I have to revert to 1.8. The application opens for a second before crashing and offering to file a crash report. Now it says that the Binary is improperly signed in the console logs. Did you run ...

Re: MARF 248r source code available

I'm struggling to upload the firmware to my new MARF using my Mac, running Catalina. The installation for STM32CubeProgrammer says its successful but when I try to open it the app just closes after a few seconds. I've tried running the script within the Contents/MacOS/bin but that throws the followi...

Re: Front Panel Proof Reading Thread

thank you. amazing: the blacet text was off by 0,0044 inches ;—p (though I imagine this could also be something to do with alignment pre/post converting to outlines) The 'in/out' text on the mini wave was in the wrong spot, so now aligned with the waveforms... nicely spotted!! :hail: though I now w...

Re: serge cgs dusg troubleshooting

I'm guessing you've already done this but just in case I'd do some continuity testing of the circuit, this pcb is extremely prone to lifted traces due to the one sided board. If you're building one of the new Elby ones you can disregard this.

Re: SSL Serge Smooth / Stepped Generator

I always wondered why non banana serge didn’t just normalize cycle out to in so it defaults to looping, I love watching the LEDs go. Also I’m a big fan of adding a switch to turn the stepped generator into smooth. This could also be done through the sample jack so it’s a smooth until you plug into t...

Re: Front Panel Proof Reading Thread

All great looking. Constructively looking at the panels most of them have mod depth controls positive depth only. Is that correct? For the BOCGS style panel the master divider panel doesn’t make sense stylistically or practically. Why LEDs at angles? Why not put them next to the sockets like the ot...

Re: [4U] Outsie, a basic output utility

I ordered them through Seeed Studio, pcbs came out great. You have to buy 5 at a minimum so maybe ordering a bunch and selling yourself? I need to redo the panel though, my friend made me a paper design but the orientation on the output knobs and jacks was off. I also ordered the wrong pots for the ...

That panel looks great BUT not getting both random outs from the digital noise is a HUGE mistake. Go for the second jack and put the LEDS off grid to the right a bit and above, sort of how you have them in the divider.
Didn't even notice it had a second one, added. Thanks!
