Re: Soundtoys Bundle
Is it software specific? I've deactivated things on my ilok account, and this page on soundtoys's website seems to imply the same thing: https://support.soundtoys.com/article/57-using-the-ilok-license-manager. You just need to use the license manager on the computer you have it activated on to make...

The Phenol and Redox are on sale also. I've never tried the Redox but everything else he's made is excellent, especially on sale.

Re: Kawai K Series
There is a great K1 VST: https://www.nilsschneider.de/wp/nils-k1v/ Much respect to Nils for his work, including reverse engineering the ROM with samples. Yea this thing is awesome. My personal grail would be if someone did this treatment for the K4 as well. I don't know why I like that terrible sou...

Re: Best (cheap) fx for crunchy drums? (Stop me buying a Boum)
If you have any eurorack stuff, and it's a new combination since it was just released, is the pairing of a Mutable Blades and Streams. You get dual filters, drives, and waveshapers with the Blades and stereo compressor with the Streams. Not cheaper than the Boum, though. I use a bunch of things for ...

Re: Do high end mixers matter?
Over the decades where popular music and recording were developed people got music sounding great with them, and if you want that particular sound then it totally matters. I'm not super interested in it at this point anymore myself. If I was to be in another band with loud drums and guitar then I'd ...

Re: End of the line
Always a mixer of some kind. Sometimes a Shure FP42 sound installation type mixer. Not super classy but it gives me level/pan control plus I can switch the inputs between mic and line level, the way it overdrives is sometimes useful, and there's a switchable limiter so I don't accidentally kill my e...

Re: RME Question anyone expanded with an Adat Mixer?
I can't help with that specific hardware but the RME software is capable of all the stuff you mentioned. I use an old Ramsa DA7 and a Digiface USB. It has fader layers so I have the mixer's analog inputs 1-16 going into the computer over ADAT to record and then on a second layer 17-32 stuff coming o...

Everyone should buy Numerology, it's awesome. Also when I bought V4 a couple years ago they said anyone who bought it after V5 was announced would get V5 for free. I imagine that's still the case? So free V5 whenever it comes out.

Saturday delivery here as well. Showing up today was fast!
Adding the Blades also gives me the exact HP to fill a single case with Mutable stuff. Wouldn't be the most useable single case but would be fun to look out sooo maybe.

Re: You like what they do, but not how they do it
My peeve with many modules (especially Mutable) is inscrutable labels. I generally paste my own over the micro-icons. They are still a bit vague, but easier to learn. MIlabels.jpg For Clouds I'm with you. It got discontinued and I think for good reason. For Plaits I'm fully onboard with the way it'...

Re: Update from Mutable Instruments on a DivKid youtube comment? 3 more releases?
Trying to remember how much space there was between Marbles and Stages- I seem to remember them being announced almost simultaneously? Not that it is necessarily relevant this time... Was Stages the one that got leaked early by accident (or negligence?) and then announced before it was ready to shi...

Re: You like what they do, but not how they do it
Anything with a pot or slider that isn't reflecting what is actually happening. Drives me completely nuts. Turn a knob to one spot, press a button, now that knobs does something different, turn it to some spot, now the knob position has no relevance to the first setting you made. Encoders and a scre...

Re: Mutable Instruments Blades
Ordered like always before even watching the DivKid video. I'm one of those MI fans. I had been looking into dual filters and never liked any enough to finally buy one but I guess it's good I waited. Or equally likely is I'll enjoy this one enough that I go overboard and decide I need every other du...

love the idea overall, but I'm not in the market at the moment. primarily because I need more pure desktop space to put my work laptop as well as music computer and other music goodies. price isn't awful for what it is, but man that shipping to the states really gets ya! I get it though, shipping o...

I hear people mentioning delay compensation problems in Live all the time but I’ve never encountered one that couldn’t be fixed after figuring out why Live chose to handle it a certain way. What problems are people having? My biggest issue with Live was always comping, it was wild to me it didn’t e...

Re: Upper and lower BPM limits of DAWs?
I'll add to the Ableton numbers with some others I use.
Ableton 20-999
Renoise 35-999
Numerology 5-500
Reaper 2-960
Logic 5-990
Audacity 30-300 (for a "rhythm track" there isn't really DAW wide BPM)

The UI on Absynth wasn't very well liked either but I personally was fine with it and don't have a problem with this one. I haven't used it a ton but so far I'm still preferring Absynth for whatever reason.

I'm running the beta and my Push 2 didn't even need an update, it was just an option on the setup page. Which really makes no practical difference I just thought it was interesting.
