LPG sounds / demos?

anyone able to share some simple demo sounds of the LPG (or a track that highlights it)? I know it is much loved, but cannot say I know this characteristic sound that it produces. Have listened to some other demos of Buchla Bongos etc but am mainly interested to hear the Bug...

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

The Old Blue Gate Delay module, with added CV control of delay time, would be really nice to use in combination with a step sequencer e.g. Le Seq to add some funk / swing on a per step basis. This can kind of be approximated with Envelopes... but the Gate Delay module seems like a cool addition to t...

Surge Protection?

Well I guess the title sums it up more or less. Do the DC power bricks serve as a buffer of sorts in those instances? Or would a power supply with built-in fuse be recommended just to be sure?

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

For the moment I've just been sending a slowish envelope to the VCO fm input, and tuning so that it jumps an octave/some interval. Glide would be better though!

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make

+1 on dual slew, bugcrusher, phaser... most of the things mentioned

I'd also love to see some simple utility modules, switches, format converters. (I know they can be easily DIYed but...)

Re: Penrose Possibles (Open Source Sonic Potions Quantizer)

those quantizers are everything I dreamed they would be. One thing maybe Tom or others can confirm -- it seems like there is a very quick slew between pitches. Not sure if that is coming from the quantizer as it changes, or if it's in the nature of the VCOs? In any case, they work great for me.

Re: Matrix

The inability to interface easily with the red modules would be a missed opportunity, IMHO. Reds are line level, so one of these would get you happily back to banana 10V world: https://www.bugbrand.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_31&products_id=148&zenid=5452c3c44b4a71593e50e08a83455...

I’m guessing the best way to achieve the “red” results at the bottom would be to put the clock and gate A or B through a logical AND, right? That would yield discrete pulses that correspond to steps. I think the full gates are particularly useful to have for just what you are describing. I was thin...

Piezo drum pad as trigger

A very hi-Z preamp would be a boon for your piezo mic-inclined customers! On that note (and branching off to this thread)... I've been thinking again about drum pad triggers for DRM1/2/LPG. Would the current Dual Pre be reasonable to use for getting dynamic range from e.g. a piezo contact mic? - Ma...

To get audio into the filter, would the Dual Preamp module with a single wired connection (+ resistor) from Preamp's output banana terminal be the way to go? That would be very nice to have, alongside the Env-Amp. I really enjoy using the DRM2 in this way... would be cool to have it in Chirper form ...

Pretty cool – thanks float, pld, batchas & Tom. Seems that this is pretty close to refined due to your efforts (beauty of open source). I'm pretty excited for *any* BugBrand quantizer, but it sounds like this one is working pretty well. 5 octaves seems like a very usable range. With these fixes, doe...

Excited for this one. :hihi: does the video really match the audio? seems like the notes lighting up on the quantizer don't match what we're hearing. Also was wondering, are you using one of your custom wavetable collections here? I s...

You could though... get some other playback devices and use Tom's new stereo (dual mono) preamp. Then you also have the benefit of sending everything through bugbrand modules. That would be an interesting DJ setup...

Mono and 12-bit... not bad for playing samples or dubbing out some recordings, but not exactly hi-fi. Also I'm pretty sure all RadioMusic modules have a little clock noise present when playing back the samples (something I usually only notice with headphones, but still)

Briefcase would be awesome! Swap frames in and out and be on the move.
