Re: Silent brass users?

I play rarely with mutes Because of pressure... All mutes will help you to play in a lower volume. If You do, It’s better to deal with the particular timber of each mute (no natural sounds). That’s not what you’re after, I think...so : Could you isolate you’re room ? They do miracles for that in mus...

Re: Eurorack polyphony in 2019

LPGs can make polyphony easier in eurorack. All you need are an oscillator and LPG per voice and hit it with gate/cv from something like a Keystep Pro or a Mutable Yarns. They don't even have to be the same OSC/LPG. I sometimes use a pair of LxDx (2x 6db, 2x 12db LPGs) to get 4 voice polyphony from...

Re: Why buy used at recent market prices?

Maybe there's more important issues than saving a few bucks. :despair: Yes, when you think about it, reemployement is often more expensive than getting new things. But it’s sustainable. For example, in my town, there is an organism that transform old furnitures into, new ones (Better design, less w...

Re: New SSF Entity Release - Percussion Synthesizer

And on the other hand, what impressed me at first with this module is the possibilty to play it like a full kit, but with Only one voice... « A cornelian choice »
Anyway, I’m on the list for your mk2 version ;)

Re: New SSF Entity Release - Percussion Synthesizer

Why not a new version « à la » LIP, with more features, or more voices ?
The mk1 sounds great, to me. When I listen to it, I think I could build a full drumkit with Many of them ;)

I know you mentioned needing a graphical display, but I highly recommend the synthstrom deluge. It can do what you need and then some. Can go more in depth on my user experience if you'd like.
I recommand the Launchpad pro mk3

When I buy a « new used gear » I think about the planet (ecology)
This one is already here, no need to favorise one more product in the factory.
In these times, I’m surprised that no one mentioned this!

I use my Prodipe pro 8, (bi-amp monitoring) for 15 years now, and they are ok.
No need for a sub, the diaphragms are big enough !

Re: Pulsar-23 by Soma

I do however lust after the idea of the loop recorders as euro modules i found it so great to jam on and come up with weird grooves that i could play then change the clocking to really evolve in a strange way. i think that implementation is what makes that machine magic if only they add inputs for ...

Re: Recommendation for sampler?

I’be got a gotharman Little Déformer 2. It’s an amazing device for deforming and connecting Euro modules, but it lacks a good sequencer. I had a look at the mpc force and the mpc live, but ended with a launchpad pro 3 (and I’m really happy to pair it with my LD2 and my euro (via Expert sleepers) Tha...

Re: Dave Smith hint of a new synth coming up in August

I always get confused by the DSI line. It seems you have the Prophet stuff, the OB-6, but then every thing feels kind of like variations on the same things, I don't understand the market for that. Clearly they are doing something that works, but.. Ha! The new Dave Smith synth is the prophet 8 with ...

Is the Prodipe MIDI USB 4i/4o + Merge 2i»4o ok to connect a launchpad pro mk3 ?

The manual says : « use à usb hub to connect multiple device » But I wonder if a midi/usb hub is ok ;)

Re: Expert Sleepers FH-2 'factotum'

I had a quick question about sending start/stop data via the FH-2 to an external MIDI drum machine I was hoping someone here can help me with. I have a Pamela’s New Workout module sending clock data to the X input on the FH-2. The FH-2 is connected via USB to an Arturia Keystep MIDI controller, and...
