A quick test could be to loop the ADAT out back to the in on the interface Just send something from your DAW out ADAT and make sure you can record it back. You're running at 44.1 or 48k? Also while at it check you're using the correct connectors, looking at the rear panel like this where A-D are opt...

Do you have an ES-3 as well? I believe the ES6+7 get their clock from ES-3 Per the ES site: "Please note that a connected ES-3 is required for operation." I have no idea if it can be expected to work without ES-3 (depends on ES-6 design really) but if it can work properly at all you'd need to clock ...

Also to be clear about it what hte low gain does isn't the same as stacking. And well also when I said most shouldn't be damaged.....think that's reason enough to avoid it.

The Low-Gain Electronics Short bus is passive and meant for this....but well I also get that's bending a bit what you're asking. Personally I don't wouldn't...but well I admit I may be on the chicken side in terms of trying to not damage my system...with most modules it should be fine but the main t...

Bare in mind that any ADC/DAC (your audio interface) is bandlimited. Say you're recording at 44.1k it will be bandlimited to be sub 22k. No idea how fast your clock is going but yes this can have a serious effect on slew/etc of clocks. Long story short depending on what you're trying to do precisely...

Some people modify their modules to use banana jacks rather than the 3.5mm jacks but it seems the majority of us seems to stick to the 3.5mm ones. I believe some manufacturers offer bananafied versions...but can't really name any from the top of my head. It's not quite the same but in case you have ...

Sorry for the lag, got around to trying it and worked fine with the SCM for 4seconds, fine for 16seconds as well...and even was fine for 128 seconds. So basically the pulse going into SCM's in went briefly high every 2 minutes and the x8 output for example toggles every 16sec (128s/8=16s) and in pha...

I'm curious how one would select the different algorithms (how the operators are stacked)?

In my experience the SCM handles very slow clocks, unfortunately not in wiggling distance right now.

Will try it out tonight and see how slow it can go and report back here.

ADDAC makes one as well, the ADDAC205, it also includes 2 waveform generators it seems. I have not used one myself and can't compare it really to the O'Tool one. I have an O'Tool which I do love. Depending on your preferences you could also get a regular (I mean non-eurorack) oscilloscope , plenty o...

Hi, At the bottom of this post you can copy/paste that into Numberz and enjoy. Today I figured I'd noodle together what you described and made one that makes the range useable. I made the bottom 55Hz ….but it's trivial how to adjust it to something else. Basically it's 1V/Oct (that's if the po...

Indeed depends on the rails, to add some more to the list:

TipTop Z-Rails uses M3x6 (as widgetoz mentioned same as Doepfer)
Monorocket needs 4-40 (1/4in length) screws
vector rails needs M2.5x6

I don't have an A4 myself but believe it has 2 CV/Gate outs. To trigger your drum modules you need gates (technically triggers..either one will do with those TTA modules though). I may miss something about the A4 but believe you'd be able to only sequence 2 modules at a time. I suspect the first thi...

I use Z-DSP and 2 pittsburgh analog delays and obviously the DAW (latency may/may not be an issue depending on what you're trying to do and on your setup/conditions, mine is insanely low but admit being spoiled in that department). Typically for more analog/lo-fi sounding delay the pittsburgh is the...
