Re: Steiner-Parker Synthacon VCF - Yusynth latest version

Big love for this guy. I e tried something like 14 filters and it’s at the top of my list. Sounds great, has a hard quality to it, like sharp definition or something, insane resonance squeals, I usually talk it up at the monthly meet ups. More people should know about it. :tu:

I count over 150x unique 'sounds' when I turn the wave dial (and Release 1 isn't full CCW). Tested on the last algorithm. Ya Pardner, I tested this 9 tiimes. the results are as follows: 101, 102, 168,167,192,182,187,187,187 I'm gonna go with 187 different wave combinations on the wave dial, damned ...

some great bits in there :) You really hear NG's percussive signature when you close the gates up a bit. How are you finding the Belgrad by the way? Been curious about this one.

More of the same little jam. Some plucky synth lines going through a Natural Gate channel each. It's just the oscillators straight to Natural Gate. Adjusting the decay and open faders to taste.

Setting the kick fm (using shapeshifter's sine for the body,) with a channel of Natural Gate, until it hits the sweet spot, then the rest of the jam for context

I know this isn’t the point of the thing, but how does it sound as a low pass filter? Can it be used that way like some of the other LPGs? Thanks. We use it for Low Pass Filter duties alllllllll the time, it can go from brassy to soft and muted etc., depending on the the high frequency content of w...

James, I have a phonogene for slicing and dicing, but it's so awkward to co-ordinate recordings, that it's use is often unintended experimental tape loop / music concrete style tasks (feed it from a radio music or just some random things off my phone) I usually rely on my Octatrack for sample based ...

I have 6 wav players in my rig, 2 Nebulae, 2 ADDAC101's and 2 DIY WaveTrigger modules. I use the whole rig to make a sound, burn it to media, and then use the same rig to process the resultant wav file. It works really well. Basically the wav players act as very complicated VCOs. It is much better ...

Anyone have audio examples of just some audio through a wavefolder? the only wave folding in my system is the timbre section on my Complex Oscillator, so I can't really try it out for myself right now, but pretty damn curious what that sounds like.

Patch ideas for processing audio

Hey peoples of Muff, I've spent almost all of my time using the modular as a synth/soundsource itself. Most of time I'm just waking with oscillators or other modular sound sources, all synth theory. But Now I'm looking for some ideas on using the rig to process itself. Like record the outputs of the...

I traded for a Complex oscillator and had some pitch tracking problems. contacted them several months ago about repairs (offering to pay as I'd got it second hand) and have got the same runaround as everyone else. I've met mark and Sonya and some of the others, they're good people, but there's a gap...

Re: Wogglebug S/H Question

Is it possible to make the S/H output on the wogglebug repetitive? I find that it never really repeats its steps twice in a row. I'd love get more determined patterns from it. Maybe this is antithetical to what a S/H does, specifically on the wogglebug. Any thoughts/patch ideas? just learning my wa...

usamo destroying octatrack projects

I can't seem to get usamo to work well with the octatrack. I'm using live 9.5 as a master source and the midi out goes into octatracks midi in which is acting as slave. Haven't managed to delve into it much but right now I notice that with nothing even playing If i sweep the trim pot on the front, a...

oh, and the sequencer is loads and loads of fun, just takes a bit of getting used to. My only complaint is a really poor sounding clap. It's very tweakable but still, it's very difficult to get it to "snap" something about the filter makes the clap tone pretty dull, which is a shame, because they re...

hi guys, i'm a new tanzbar owner and trying to record knob movements into a pattern, but it just does not seem to be working for some reason. i'm following the manual, but no success. maybe something is missing there? it doesn't say what recording mode it has to be, it only says that it has to be i...
