Re: Modern FM synth options?
https://zrna.org/akso thanks for the link, this looks really interesting. nord g2 is great indeed. i went from nord classic to eurorack in 2013, but tried g2 and sold it all. ease of use, great possibilities and obvious benefits of patch memory and polyphony, the whole package is unbeatable imo. AD...

Re: Digital modular synth in a box?
Yes. That was the one I remember. Patch knob memory was not unique, bit the patch's AND patch cords being remembered WAS and still is unique. I know of no synth that currently does it. I see they still have an active website and even make Eurorack modules now. I wonder how many State Zero units the...

Re: Digital modular synth in a box?
Also, it is possible to patch entirely on the synth's panel controls without using a mouse (at least on the G2, not sure about the original NM). I knew a guy who had bad carpel tunnel for a while and he did all of his patching via the front panel controls because he couldn't use a mouse. You can ad...

Soft sounding? Couple of ways of achieving: first, mix that much of sample race reduced sound to the original source, Malgorithm mkII with its dry/wet control is obvious candidate. Outside modular, Biscuit is unique lo-fi multiFX processor. I prefer its sample-rate reduction sound to VSTs. second, i...

My solution: dozens of sync generators from Silent Way patched inside Plogue Bidule and routed through matrix into audio interface SPDIF Out -> Expert Sleepers ES-40 -> Expert Sleepers ES-8GT. with one click I can have completely different clock groups all perfectly synced to DAW http://i.imgur.com/...

If space is an issue, they have a new one coming out any day - the PICO SeqS https://www.modulargrid.net/e/erica-synths-pico-seqs That looks like it could be a right winner in this little area, having both clocked and voltage-addressed switching in 3hp can you adjust the number of steps of Pico SEQ...

:chug: got Korgasmatron II yesterday, and patched a lot of ideas similar to Your suggestions. 4/5 of patches sounded brilliant, immediately ordered expander for more feedback mangling. I think the newer harvestman modules that are looking for 0-5V CV will clip out of bounds voltages up to a point. Of course the newer modules seem to all have attenuation or attenuverters, so a 0-8V on my piston honda mkii gets put where ever I want, using some attenuation. In case 0-8v triangle it...
