Re: Polyphonic 5u Systems!
CV.OCD works for me. I had an MU panel made after tiring of converter cables. My system is fairly robust and can do three voices nicely, four is a stretch without sharing some processing. Haven't seriously needed four anyway. My post describing the panel And yes, I agree a true poly synthesizer is t...

The Bat Meter is back in production, now in a slender format.

Re: Obsessing about MIDI latency and jitter
OT maybe, but related: How to define, and measure, latency with precision? Seriously; measurement being a first step to remediation.

CV.OCD with custom MU panel. Works for me. You'd need a second unit for 4-channel velocity.

Re: I like my knobs...
I prefer the "standard" 1-inch knobs along with decent clearance for patching. These were factors in my choosing MU in the first place. The smaller formats would just drive me batty. Cabinet space is a consideration but not an overriding one. I tried the dotcom Q107A (SVF) 1U conversion and actually...

Finished panel
Finished this a while back but forgot to update this post. I settled on this layout and it has worked out well. Note that (1) the four CV outputs are doubled as a convenience (to reduce multiples) and (2) gates 9-12 are omitted. The CV.OCD board (only) is mounted on the panel and powered by a stomp ...

My modular is part of a synth studio with several other synths, a hardware mixer, and a DAW, and the setup is optimized for 'old school' multitrack recording and mixdown. Basically just replacing a 24 track tape recorder with the DAW. So the modular usually gets used to create one big patch at a ti...

Re: cv control of knobs in effects pedals
How can I control meris mercury 7 knobs from the level of a modular synth? You should clarify your objectives here. First, do you mean that your modular will provide control voltages that you want to use to control the Mercury7? I assume this is what you have in mind (but you confusingly mention th...

But, what is Through Zero? As it happens, the Krisp1 TZ oscillator responds appropriately to linear FM pitch control BUT does not produce an inverted waveform from negative control voltages. (This usually has no audible impact.) Wrong. The VCO, like all TZ-VCO's reverses the waveform when zero-freq...

The wooden cabinets and control surfaces are very unique.. I like the low angle and drawers. Might be great for a built-in modular synth piece of studio furniture Handy when you have a sudden inspiration. Convenient while cooking. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/18531_synthindrawer1_1.jpg
