Re: Cocoquantus Mic Preamp Issue

This is probably the old solder issues with the banana jacks or maybe the xlr input somewhere under the hood. Need to screw the top off and go over those bananas with the soldering iron.

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

The 8bit lofi crunch is a part of the delays and as expected, but some users are experiencing noise burst in the feedback chain even when feedback is barely up and input all the way down. This makes it very hard to record from silence and making the recorded material useless pretty quick. Sure the c...

Re: Deerhorn tuning

Pitch should go into lfo territory without problem. Sounds like you have some issues with it or you need to adjust the antenna response screws because they can go out of whack in shipping and or over time. How about a sound snippet from lowest pitch settings? Did you buy dirext from pete or patch po...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

Well i dont know why i had such an improvement after swapping the opamps, someone more technical should jump into this thread and teach us something and why this is happening in the first place. Too bad with all the smart folks around here no one has a definite answer to this problem. :help:

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

So i did a new test with the cocolase after swapping opamps just to get some fresh ears on it. It is surely an improvement from what i experienced before. Any chance you could point out the opamp on the board for future reference? I can see myself doing this too at some point. This is a cocolase an...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

So i did a new test with the cocolase after swapping opamps just to get some fresh ears on it. It is surely an improvement from what i experienced before. Still some tiny little noise burst when feedback is past 12oclock and some very faint noises when speed is all the way down but i had to turn the...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

This is on a cocolase and i did nothing else than swap the opamps and offcourse taking the whole thing apart because pete forgot to put sockets on these. Just did a quick test after swapping so if not completely satisfied later on i may be looking into your trick with the bypass cap etc...but for no...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

I tried the cocolase feedback again with different chips. First i tried the tl064 but new ones, and surprisingly much better results. I have to turn feedback up to 12 clock before the crackling noises begin but now it is just a tiny bit just like the coco2 without dolbys up. I also tried lm324 and g...

Re: DEAD Cocoquantus BUFFERS

You're sure there's enough gain on the signal? You're SURE? Like, gain before it hits the coco. Not gain from the buffer input knob. I think I’m sure? Like I said initially I noticed it with Sidrax. I’m having the same issue with Tetrax now. I’ve tried all gain settings on Coco with no luck, same d...

Re: Cocoquantus as 100% wet delay?

You could send the grey out of one delay and into the other but if you want to listen to both grey outs use a converter box.
