Re: Best square wave VCO?

Dannysound EN129 is my favorite VCO for square shape. PHAT Just bumping this thread to quiz you on this. You have or had Frequency Central (i.e. Roland) and Oakley VCOs, right? You're saying that the EN129 has a better square wave than either of those? That would be impressive! Well, to be honest c...

Any demos, guys? Apart from the TZFM, I'd love to hear the basic waves and the quadrature outs mixed. It's a very interesting design!

Re: Which TZ VCO to build?

Following this. I'd overlooked the Weston VCO for some reason. Here's another: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=216777 The Teezer does sound great; it does those spooky textures wonderfully. It isn't as full featured as the others on your list, though, but would make sense if y...

Re: Building on a LW Sing To Me panel; wondering how to proceed?

Bumping this thread again, I have had a long time to think since my above post in November. I am thinking a third panel will be LW format to try a few things and keep it flexible. I hope to add the upcoming Turing Machine adaptation, maybe the crap programmer etc. to cover sequencing in that third ...

Re: 4u Serge/Fritz Improv Drone

That was great! Do you mind sharing some patch details? Thanks. Patch is driven by TKB sequencing 4 voices after being run through Ornament and Crime set as a 4 channel quantizer. 2 voices are the 555VCO oscillators. 3rd voice is NTO. 4 voice is a combination of double dekka VCO and Teezer VCO on t...

Re: Question re: Serge

Request: if I were to dip a toe into Serge, what would you guys recommend? One of the Serge panels e.g. the Mantra, or other? This comes up a lot. Yes, the Mantra is a fine panel. Going back a bit, the STS Animal was the number one recommendation as a starter panel, but STS is, ahem, costly. Loudes...

You can get Eurorack Serge from Elby. They can be ordered with either banana jacks or minijacks.

Re: Looking for advice: what to do with/add to my sinewaves

One word: Wavefolders! The DannySound module looks good, my go-to wavefolder is the simple NLC Timbre - an easy DIY build that can genrate razor-sharp timbres from a simple sine. You could also do with a small dual VCA - Doepfer make several - to give you more options for controlling FM. Do you use...

Re: The Eurorack Bashers

It stoked the ire of early punk rock, as The Undertones sang in My Perfect Cousin (1980) I realise we're in the midst of a glorious cultural revolution and many are Unperson but this is a complete rewriting of history - punk was over long before My Perfect Cousin. The Human League didn't even sign ...

Re: CGS514

I’ve been building CGS stuff for 20 years Never had any issues with Ken’s stuff mainly because of the included schematic even though a lot of people moan about CGS stuff I bought a batch of about 10 new PCBs from Elby to see that they had all changed to “better” versions and none of the schematics ...

I am in the process of designing another panel with him right now. I'm curious. What are you going for? Starting with a Quadslope, Wogglebug, VCFQ (because I don't have one in my other panel) RES EQ and still ironing out the last few inches (Maybe a shift register, phaser, or frequency shifter etc....

Charlie/LW also offers a PSU (based on the elby design) that will power up to three boats.
I have that one myself. He can also sort you out with a big, fat linear supply if that's what you want.
