Question on Befaco Crush Delay V3

I've had this module for a while and never gelled with it - my main dislike is that the level drops big time and you make the mix more wet, and I got a Mimeophon at the same time so I just put it back in the box after a couple of days. Mine is V3 - I'm wondering, has anyone else experienced this wit...

Re: Future for Cwejman?

I don't mean to be negative, we are all just speculating, Yeah, I don't think anyone said we weren't speculating. Also, Maho Cwejman said she'd make an announcement after a period of time. Which would presumably end the speculation. Yeah, that's why I said "we are all just speculating" in the first...

Re: Future for Cwejman?

I don't mean to be negative, we are all just speculating, but given how exacting and fairly peerless Wowa was, why would there be any assumption that production of his modules would persist after he is gone? Could the designs be licensed - maybe depending on his wishes (and if he even made plans for...

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

Sorry you are having noise issues. Just trying to be helpful. I think I am pretty lucky that I haven’t encountered noise issues on any modules including a Lubadh (exception is the AJH Mega Phase which I sent back, fortunately just before they discontinued it for noise issues). I do wonder whether s...

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

I have had no issues with Lubadh using current firmware so wonder if noise issues and the like might be power issues. Excited to see what they might do with a v2 or the firmware. But as it stands, the module is tons of fun. I have Eskatonic power in my Needham, and also tried it in a TipTop Mantis,...

...but man it is one of the flakiest modules I've ever owned... I'm interested in the Lubadh but the quote above and a few other postings are a little concerning. What's the current opinion of the Lubadh with the latest firmware? It’s flaky. Sometimes it doesn’t save when you shut down, sometimes i...

Re: Pamela's new workout without owning an oscilloscope?

What the blinking LEDs don’t do is show you how for instance how the controls are shaping an envelope or LFO, or what the random voltage output looks like. For that, yeah Mordax Data is awesome.

Re: Pamela's new workout without owning an oscilloscope?

Just because some people maybe have been using synthesizers long enough to completely understand what a signal is doing just by ear, doesn’t mean it’s not useful for everybody else. I find when I’m using something like Maths, I can feel my way into what I want the voltage to do easily. Pam’s takes a...

Re: ALM - Jumble Henge

Does anybody have this module yet and can comment on the sound quality? My one issue with the Tangle Quartet is that it sounds a bit anemic. Wondering how the Jumble sounds as an (almost) final output stage?

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

possible small bug in 1.3: The left reel doesn't start automatically when in reverse mode after restart the system. any news on the new firmware? I wrote to Instruo recently. They are writing the v2 firmware from the ground up. It will be much much improved with some amazing new features. However s...

I would go Morphagene + Arbhar.
I don’t understand the Beads hype honestly

Re: ALM - Jumble Henge

This module is a perfect example of what is so great about eurorack - It’s an unusual module that goes about doing things in a different way, ALM is certainly not trying to say it’s the end all be all end of chain mixer. Seems pretty certain that this will bring some interesting results, it’s a pret...

I was thinking about buying the mantis brackets but is it stable enough to be moved around ? Did someone tried to place the bracketed cases in some kind of padded flightcase for transport ? I would really like to transport the cases allready patched :/ Cheers ! You can’t fold the cases when they ar...

Re: Your Favorite Acquisitions in 2020

Sadly in retrospect my favorite purchases of 2020 were all Cwejman modules, SM-1, MMF-2, MMF1-s, and RES-4, not only because they're superb modules, but because I'm not sure we'll see any more of Wowa's creations make their way into the world. Hope I'm wrong and somehow they'll still be made, and wi...

Re: Bad experience with Switched On Austin

I can totally relate. I got a box from Detroit Modular last week, and it didn’t have any candy in it so I am totally going to rant post about it. I’m thinking about buying only from Sweetwater because they reliably send either Nerds or Bit O Honey in every package :tu: You get Nerds?!?! I only ever...

Maybe change the thread title to “Temporarily Inconvenienced By Switched On Austin” to be factually correct
