Re: Arturia Keystep pro

Has anybody had any success syncing the KSP with an external CV clock? I haven't updated mine to the newest firmware yet but when I've tried to do this in the past the KSP will only sync with a ridiculously fast clock

Re: ALM Squid Salmple - 8 channel CV and audio sampler

Had a thought that would be really cool to have in an update if possible (unless this is doable already) - sort of an 'inverse cv' setting. for example, if cv1 is set to control the loop end location, 0v would correspond to the end being at the farthest point in the sample, and 5v being at the very ...

Re: Doepfer Vs all the rest

This is all interesting, thanks I was just looking at a doepfer quad lfo. Again, probably a stupid question (I'm fairly new) how do you clock them in sequence as there doesn't seem to be a clock input? That quad LFO can't be clocked, they're all free running. Good for unsync'd modulations and stuff...

Re: Marbles Alternative

Bloom is a cool one but it definitely takes some time tweaking to make it pretty. A lot more menu dive-ey too. That being said I have it next to Marbles and wouldn't leave home without either, and Bloom does sort of have a randomization feature (the Mutate knob will mess up yr sequence incrementally)

Are there any NLC modules that focus on brownian/drunk CV movements? Like the two drunks parasites mode in tides, or the drunk object in max?
No, I am working on a module that simulates muscular movement/spasms in the tummy before and during a poo tho.

:sstorm:
i mean, that does sounds fun

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

Hey all, when using SD MULTISAMPLE is there a way to change the input mode to have NO pitch or gate inputs, i've checked the cv mappings and it doesn't seem like you can turn off the cv gate pair... I mostly input with midi so input 2 and 4 are being held hostage! would be cool to be able to turn t...

This might be kinda bonkers, but is there any overlap with Hermod and Voltage Block? Been a smidge frustrated with VB but i wonder if a hermod would be overkill, or if it's as adept at modulation over like note sequencing

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

Got my Lubadh a week or so back. So far am really liking the workflow. One thing I noticed that I wanted to see if others are experiencing is a slight change in volume when the loop ends/ starts. It’s not a click, but still something that is noticeable. The way to get it is to put a constant dronin...

Benjolin-esque self contained feedback machines?

I've had a Benjolin for about a month now and it's really blown the door open for me w/r/t the power of a few components tripping over each other in jagged feedback loops. Very excited to figure out some systems with my own modules but I'm curious if there's any other devices similar to the Benjolin...

Here's the first patch I ended up with. Lots of things happening - filter outputs swelling in and out with Tides 2, raw-er Benjolin outputs modulating other oscillators and filters, short delay on the whole thing. Lots of fun!

My module suddenly stopped outputting any CV today, and I've been trying to update the firmware for an hour and it keeps going to red, no matter what device or what volume I try it at. Going completely insane. Any tips?

EDIT: now it's not booting up at all except in calibration mode, dope

Re: ALM Squid Salmple - 8 channel CV and audio sampler

Just so I'm understanding the pool thing correctly; I could have, say, 20 random samples in the pool folder, and as the Squid is being triggered swap out any of those 20 individual samples into any of the 8 channels? Will it do the thing it does (wonderfully) now where it keeps playing the old samp...

Yes. You defiantly want to get the newest firmware as this has been taken care of. this was one of the things that drove me crazy when I first purchased.

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

Just snagged one of these and I like it a lot, but there's a few frustrations that I've seen other folks have had - specifically, -sometimes the erase button doesn't actually erase anything, needing a power cycle to get a clean buffer -theres almost always a little blip of the old loop left over at ...

Spent the last few days using the Squid as a sequencer and complex envelope generator and I’ve got to say I’d pay good money for an expander with extra CV inputs.
Big same, but aimed towards a self-shifting granular tape splice machine

NLC Let's Splosh and a Doepfer Matrix Mixer as modulation networking hub. The matrix mixer allows a lot of performance on the level and polarity of the Let's Splosh inputs, which gives you 16 variations on those inputs to send all over you system. I like using a couple Slots channels, the rungler o...

Re: Simple gate circuit?

Do you just want to pass gates/triggers through it? If so it should be quite simple. If you want to pass audio and have the pushbutton gates/triggers too, then it might be a little more complex. (Well there are simple ways for both, but audio requires a bit more if you want to do it nicely) Not rea...

Simple gate circuit?

I've been dreaming of making a gate machine box to have some external control over modules. Specifically what I'm thinking of is having , say, 8 inputs/outputs with a simple on/off switch between them to feed sequences thru/turn off at will, but also wired up to each output a push button (arcade mac...
