Re: Ritual Electronics 1U modules

I don't have a 1U case, but if I did I would be giving a long, yearning look at that Guillotine as a stereo stompbox adapter + gain stage for pedals -> euro. Awesome!

Great little utility! I really want a case with a 1U row to support all the cool new modules coming out. I wish there was some way I could take on a 1u row to the Mantis case. :hihi:

Re: Filter with lin-fm

V/oct is exponential by definition. The frequency doubles with each octave (exponential) but it maps to linear CV (1v goes up an octave regardless of pitch). Linear means a linear relationship between frequency and voltage (f=a*v+b where a and b are constants). Whether you're controlling a VCO, an ...

Re: Filter with lin-fm

Is "v/oct" the same as linear FM where filters are concerned? If so, there will of course be numerous filters with that capability. Not sure if they are the same, though. Just throwing it out there in case it helps the search.

Re: Superbooth 20 Home Edition

I've seen some criticism on other websites about the new ALM look but IMO it's the best aesthetic for the company yet. I hope the new grey modules with black/white screen (Pam's) are eventually available standalone for those who don't need/want the full Coupe. They look absolutely fantastic with the...

I just did the same! Got the last one (for the time being) on Reverb. Very excited to get my hands on this module! :sb:

It's finally ready! Sorry it took so long but I've been trying to do 5 products at once. I still need to take some r...

Re: Modules for creating envelope follower (for guitar pedal type FX)?

I would trade my Ears module out for the Intellijel "Audio Input" prototype in a heartbeat if they would ever finish and release it. It's the perfect size and set of features for me, and I emailed them asking about it last year. Got a reply that the project had "mutated" and been sidelined but that ...

Re: WMD Time Warp

I'm excited for this. I'd prefer it were $149, but with shop discounts of 10-15% that are always floating around it becomes pretty undeniable if you're looking for that sound. Gated Slew is one of those things where I sort of arrived upon the need via a thought experiment of "I want pitch slew, but ...

Very sorry to hear of your troubles, RYO + Phineas. For what it's worth I have the Ampmix and it's still the only mixer on the market that has all of its features in one package. Great utility. I really wanted to get the Aperture but I guess the only hope is the used market now (and it seems most pe...

I've only used a handful of pedals, one of them the space spiral. I guess I liked the sound of it but I will check out your suggestions as I don't have much experience with pedals. Hey, that's cool. Nothing wrong with liking what you like. Wasn't trying to rain on anyone's parade. Let me know if yo...

Feedback TWO59 complex oscillator (Buchla 259 eurorack adaptation) i regrettably sold my Feedback TWO59 to get the CSL. CSL has great features and everything, but sound is more important to me and i thought TWO59 sounded better. The thing I don't quite understand about the TWO59... the VCO section ...

I hope they bring the Space Spiral Delay pedal to eurorack. If you don't mind me asking... Any particular reason why? Based on the specs and features, it sounds like a PT2399-based pedal and there are already numerous options in eurorack for that. Check out The Jellyfish and the Dwarf Star Delay as...

Re: BLM (Blue Lantern) Steiner Diode Filter: just plain noisy or noisiest damn module in your rack?

Sure. It's in a Mantis case (w/ factory TipTop power brick). I have it racked right next to a Livestock Leap ADSR which I'm pretty sure is digital; no noise issues.

Glad to hear Flavio is taking care of you. His customer service has been excellent for me, as well. Some people never forgave him for the early cloning controversy but I love his modules and he's a good person to deal with. For what it's worth my Hermippe (MS 20 style) vcf from BLM is not noisy at a...

Re: Behringer Go eurorack case

Why not just get a mantis for $35 more? Haha Well, one could argue that the Behringer is more HP for less money. But I'm with you. I don't like this case. It's too wide and just clones the Mantis power supply without upping the capacity to account for the additional rack space. Seems rushed and not...

I love the aesthetic of these modules (panels + knobs). It's one of those brands I think would look amazing in a dedicated case by itself.

Some pretty interesting module designs, too. Very excited to see the Kallichore be completed and to hear demos.

Best of luck to IO Instruments!

Interesting. In this demo vid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UdzV07W32xA&feature=emb_title), is the Lo-Five doing everything but the bass drum? Can the module accept v/oct cv input, by any chance? I assume not but just wondering as it seems like you can get some really synthy pitched sounds out of...

Novel filter circuit? Analog or digital? (not that it matters, I'm just curious.) I really liked the demo sounds. :par...
