Re: Qu-Bit Data Bender

oh for sure! it's just odd that QuBit seems to be all about that a LITTLE but too tight jacks.

the Surface is the same.

Re: Qu-Bit Data Bender

right? what is UP with QuBit having baby fists for jacks? same with the ModBap thing.

shits is... kinda dangerous actually. i've almost pulled my case off it's stand unseating those tenacious buggers. or wrecked a normal style jack by getting overly physical from muscle memory.

love the DB though.

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

i miss having standard mixer with USB separate outs to the computer. ???? lol. was unclear. while that functionality is possible with the ES-9 (especiallllly in tandem with the EC4), and it works very well and is amazing to do it in such a small footprint, it adds more complexity and restrictions t...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

sooooooo, as awesome as the ES-9 is, it's just not for me right now. i miss having standard mixer with USB separate outs to the computer. as much as i hate giving up the desk real estate, i've gone back to that.

if anyone's looking for one, i'm listing mines in a bit.

And the insert point between the filter and the VCA lets you use obscenely noisy distortion or whatever your sick mind can think of. The VCA acts as a noise gate, so everything politely shuts up when the envelope closes - no matter what kind of roiling turd vortex you’re feeding it. Highly recommen...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

murrrr that's true! i am not trying to have to keep track of changing batteries/always making sure i turn off something on my music desk, so never explored that. i'm not sure if powering by the ES-9 bus would also send MIDI over USB to it, i don't think it would. mines is packed up in it's box, don'...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

ah! that's why i also lost interest. it only has USB MIDI out, but that's also where it charges from. so it would have been SHENANIGANS to get it running directly into ES-9 without the FH-2, which i don't have.

FaderFox is brilliant though.

but yeah. definitely worth the wait for the choice of rack ears.

i rarely rack stuff, usually put it on the desk or stand.

iffffff they get them ready and ship earlier, i am okayyyyy with that too.

Re: omsonic & dBs Music Stochastic & Expander new Demo Video !

thanks! i've been itching for an interesting modular melodic sequencer, so went ahead and ordered a Melodicer. will circle around and check these out when they start being available.

as exciting as this looks, i'm trying to stay away from pre-orders as much as possible.

thanks!

Update- I figured out the mute part- it wants a constant 'gate on' to stay muted. Still haven't figured out the reset though. Thanks.

thanks! it's a really interesting module.

the volume spikes at the end i thinnnnnnnk are because i was running line level Iridium outs into DB instead of euro level. it warns of that in the manual.

Re: Qu-Bit Data Bender

totally! it's just SUPER FUN as a noise destruction thing. running angry distorted stuff into it is a blast. it does prettier, more restrained/more easily deciphered stuff, was trying to do one of those tonight hopefully.
