Buchla 25S/259r Hard Sync?

I have been looking at hard sync between oscillators. I understand the part where one oscillator is master and the other slave and the waveform of the slave is reset by the master. In a standard digital synth to the best of my knowledge a typical hard sync sound would be where the slave takes it's p...

If you look at the Buchla forum I believe that there is an Indiegogo campaign running at the moment where you can get Subotnick Siilver Apples on coloured vinyl.

Cheers for the information. The Sevish scale packs look like just the sort of thing I am after.

I have also sent an email to your address as I would like to order as soon as available.

Many thanks.

Hi, Cool looking module. Can you please let me know how many hp the unit is so I can make some room in my case. Also is the module going to come pre-loaded with some scales. How many? Mix of standard plus some more experimental? Apologies if these have already been answered but I could not see them ...

I am also potentially interested in one of these units.

Can you please let me know if it accurately tracks 1.2v per octave. Presumably with the attenuator turned fully to the right given that there is no dedicated keyboard input?

Cheers.

Well looks like there is a lot of love for 250e (sorry Happyanimal chalk another one up for the 250e on the condition that anyone can obtain one). Is there actually a lot of difference in the functionality other than the obvious aesthetics where one has sliders and the other pots. To date all the mo...

Buchla 250e vs Marf

Hi, I am looking to add some sequencing to my system and was wondering how these two modules compare. Is one more powerful than the other? One interface more user friendly? I will be looking to sequence on the fly and I currently have a twelve panel case currently containing 208r, Sputnik 289 and JR...

Buchla clones tini or 3.5mm?

Hi, I am in the process of putting together a clone system. Can anyone let me know if clones usually use Tini or 3.5mm for audio signals. Specifically Roman modules as I am getting a couple of these. How about other builders as well? I understand that if I use a tini cable on an input not designed f...

Thanks for the replies and reassuring to know it's not just my unit. I have found that turning the heater down in the room has helped - so I guess it's something to do with the climate/moisture in the air. Also after playing for about 5 or 10 minutes the response of the bars seems to greatly improve...

Thanks Lukasz that is very helpful and interesting to hear that it is not just my Sid behaving in this way. Perhaps you are right and it is something to do with how dry the wood is. Given the time of year I have had the radiators on and maybe the artificial heat has dried the wood out so it is not f...

Thanks for the suggestions and much appreciated. I tightened the screws on the bars but the instrument still behaves in the same way. It is not one single bar that is causing the problem but they all seem to do it intermittently. Press the bar and release it - volume envelope behaves as expected but...

Sidrax problems/fault?

Hi, Recently ordered a Sidrax. However there seems to be a strange problem with it. When I press a bar I can hear the note played in the left speaker and when I release the bar I hear it in the right - all good so far. However directly after releasing the bar there is a short pause and the note prev...

Little Deformer 2

Been looking at the Deformer and it looks tempting but possibly priced slightly too high for my liking. For anyone that owns the unit do you think it's worth the money? Also had a brief look at the specs and in some ways it kind of looks like a lot of the functionality can be found in the Kaoss Pad ...

Surprised that people seem so accepting of the issues that a lot of these units seem to have straight out of the shop. Even if a company offered a replacement I would still not be impressed given the amount paid.

Any of the pedals listed in this thread. My recommendation would be buy used as most of those pedals can easily be found on Ebay. If you buy second hand and don't like the pedal then you can sell it on without much of a loss.
