Re: Hemisphere Suite for Buchla

Hey Arguz, all. I can't comment on the cardOC, as I don't have one (yet!). But I do have a self built 2OC original version which I've run the latest Hemisphere on and that seemed to have fixed lots of the stuff which wasn't working so well in Buchla land (i.e. triggers seemed OK in most apps, quanti...

Re: [AVAILABLE] Orgone Accumulation for the 4U synth

Hi folks, I finally finished off my board and am very impressed! I built mine using CLee's PCB, went together nicely and the docs were very helpful. FWIW I seem to have successfully compiled with Arduino version 1.8. I just mention this as the first post mentions an older version of the IDE.... Also...

Hi Roman, good of you to make this decision. Without wanting to derail the thread, I'd like to request the same happens with the code and ideally the schematic for 244r. The schematic would help to try and track down issues with offset, the switches not working etc etc. See various threads here for ...

FWIW I built one using Negativspace's boards and an RSFC panel from the run back in the day. I hooked up the bottom output of each channel to the inverted out on the PCB. So sticking a 0 to +10V 281 envelope CV out in comes out as a 0 to -10V copy. It has it's uses (modulating an oscillating 291j fo...

I was so put off by the problems on the ASR that I put this module on hold, great news that it can be rescued :)

Look forward to the DIY post....

[ R17 is 4.7k in both the original Buchla schematic and in the Mark Verbos adaptation. I don't know where the 100k comes from for this. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/25163_untitled_3_1.png R3 and R5 should be fine as is for 15V 0-10V. I use 12V and 0-8V in my Euro system. Great thanks,...

After doing some tests, I'm pretty sure that if you're running it from 12V: R17 should be 4.7k R3 should be 120k and R5 should be 80k This completely fixed the offset pot problems (only kicking in after the pot is at noon), plus the CV in has a much better range now. Interesting information, I alwa...

monokinetic has already done quite a bit of testing, and I appreciate that. Yeah have done a bit, Im away till end of the month but would happily do more testing after that. My most recent experiments lead me to think that the dark timeline 2 inputs were only reading half voltages, i.e. I sent in C...

@Boofin Moonrocks 2. Hemisphere is not written by Max or anyone connected to the Buchla version. I am not sure if he has an interest in adapting it, if so i am more than happy to provide the hardware. So the more people ask him directly the greater the chances. But he basically has to do the same Ma...

I haven't really decided what to do with this feature yet, whether to ignore it, or replace it somehow. I was strongly leaning toward ignoring it, since the traditional workaround is "calibrate the VCO." It seemed like one of those 80/20 rule features whose absence would go largely unnoticed. I gue...

Chysn, version 1.5 sounds exciting, more excellent work by the looks of it, but I haven't upgraded yet because of: * Removed References, the last of the original Ornament and Crime apps. Just to finish up on my results of running Hemisphere on the Northernlight 2OC: I finally got some musical results from the Darkest Timeline 2.0 (I'm still on version 1.4). How's the voltage scaling on the 2oc when running hemisphere? I wanted to build one, but was wondering if I should build one side to put out the eurorack versions -3v to +6v instead of 0-10v to work better with hemisphere. Thanks for the insights. FWIW the signal chain I noticed the noise in the most was a simple patch going 20C quantizer output to 258j 1/v oct input. Then 258j variable waveform out 292r, and that out to 207r. Anyway I moved the 20C to the central boat with the Cincons actually on the PSU PCB. It impr...

Hey Arguz, thanks for the (continuing) support! Shame that this is problematic. It makes me wonder a few things: would a software update that enables us to turn off the screen, rather than have the screen savers running, reduce the noise? i.e. is it related to constantly drawing to the OLED? have yo...

Hi guys, after a reasonable amount of testing of my DIY 20C from the kit I'm pretty sure the module is putting a bunch of digital noise on to my PSU lines. It seems to be related to the OLEDs. Quick heads up about a mistake in the mouser cart, the 10u capacitors are in a 1206 package, where they should be 0805, so they're too big for the pcb footprint. @Arguz / Synesthesia / modularaddict et al: just FYI I just got caught out by this as well, would be good to update the saved Mouser cart...
